Reviews for Dreaming In Pink
Random Guise chapter 1 . 15h
Disclaimer: it's probably been 25 years since I've seen this movie.

I'm torn...I feel happy for Andie, BUT I STILL FEEL BAD FOR DUCKIE. There, I said it. I know exactly how he feels, and it hurts. But it hurts more to act like a jerk to someone you care for, or to pass up an opportunity to let them be happy. It's part of the Nice Guy code.

But it still stinks like last week's garbage.

He can still be happy - vicariously. If only I could tell him to hang around, because when Eric dies tragically in a freak mini-golf accident (aren't they all?) he'll need to be there to comfort her. She won't recognize him at first because of the shaved head and tattoos, but later on she'll come to realize that I've gotten wildly off-topic.

Good story.

This was a way better ending.

Such a sweet one shot, I loved it. One of my favourite movies, I'm a big fan of Duckie. :)
Rhiannon chapter 1 . 5/5/2013
I really enjoyed this. I'm still a fan of Duckie/Andie but this was a really interesting take on what could have happened. Well done! :)

I love this movie! And yes your ending was more adult.. Btw was Eric in the movie or did you add him?
Alan wannabe chapter 1 . 7/4/2011
If Eric is the James Spader character, I have to agree that she ended up well!

hi im fourteen and im a total 80s kid lol! i luv everything 80s(and duckie). well for about a year now every day after school(high school) i watch pretty in pink, breakfast club or sixteen candles and i just think ur ending was quite uncalled for lmao. i think the ending of pretty in pink is super corny but thats the reason we love it right? Andie moving on would have been really sensible. but really...wat teenager is sensible?

I think this is a great idea! I never liked the ending of the movie either. Wish you would continue on with it. I'd love to see Blaine eat his heart out!

Very nice, so happy to see a new fic here in the PiP section. I don't get it, Breakfast Club is an even older movie than this but has hundreds of stories posted. *Sigh* And can I just say Thank You for pointing out the 'crawling under the rock' comment Blaine made in the movie. It's always irked me that when he said that Andie had absolutely no reaction. Back to your story. _ It wasn't what I was expecting but I appreciate that it was well written and the dialogue and characterizations were believable to the movie. I don't suppose you'd be open to writing a story that pairs Andie and Steff? Whatever you decide to do, it's nice to see some activity again on the PiP section.
