One of the best Chapter 423 themed fanfic, I read those over fluffy and mushy ones before which were so OOC but yours is just right, emotional and bittersweet but in a subtle way. |

| songstar13 chapter 1 . 6/19/2011 Ahhhh! Beautiful. I wish I'd written it. n.n But seriously, I love it, it's going to my favorites list. I love the way you've described their parting and the emotions that we all KNOW were raging through Ichigo in those moments. Expressions never lie! Sorry. I'll stop ranting now and get to an actual review. The emotions in this story are breathtaking. You've mangaged something I can only try cheap imitations of: Brought out true sorrow and sadness, and then tempered it. The characters (mostly just Ichigo, but Rukia through her note) were perfectly portrayed. I could imagine the expressions on Ichigo's face as he ranted to a seemingly empty room, and I'm actually really glad you didn't degrade his emptiness with some crap line like 'Even though he couldn't see her, he knew she was there' or something dumb like that (I wouldn't put it past some people to destroy the beauty of angst and sorrow like that). I don't know if you've read much of the new chapters yet, but I was upset that Kubo set us up like that ("You can't see me, but I can still see you.") and then never delivered. Pissed me off a bit, actually. n.n; So thanks for making up for him with this story (it should be canon, definitely). Keep writing! You're a great author. ~Song |
