and where people don't take it seriously. or let it go after wards.

i heard in the manga takashi just kissed rei alone. so oh well... not really a fan of the anime/manga where people keeps on fighting about the love teams, it easily lost my interest when i saw many fights/ good thing i was born in my generation where people don't fight with the love teams... just saw it though.

This is a fairly decent story, nothing special but not bad either. a good read, although that ending is kinda nice.

These are my opinions. What's important is that people enjoy it and the author enjoys it as well.

Note: This story was written over 4 years ago, and I'm assuming that the author has improved.

Characters: 7/10

I enjoyed the way the characters were written. They were accurate to the anime and each had enough personality to seem real.

Though, at times, things felt a little forced. They would just say whatever it was that the story needed and not what the characters themselves would say. Sure, it's a story and ultimately the author has control over the characters and what the say, but there's a subtle way to make it seem as though the characters are acting as they should and make it seem natural.

The characters that were not in the original anime acted more like shells. Instead of being people reacting to the world and situations around them, they felt like they were just there to add certain elements to the plot. Put simply, puppets used to push the plot and minor conflicts.

Actions of the characters were well described and seemed to flow well. From fight scenes to the simplicity of preparing food was well proportioned.

Plot: 7/10

This has a simple plot that's been done before, but that can be said for almost every story. There are no new ideas, only interpretations. I personally enjoy plots like this and think that the author did a good job of keeping to a basic formula.

That being said, I truly believe it could have been longer. One or two more sub plots and a couple simple situations to give the characters more to react to. Everything seemed to move a bit too quick. As if just being pushed from one plot point to another without time to take in the scenery of the characters reacting. It would have helped to give the reader a deeper emotional connection.

So, good interpretation of a simple concept, but could have had more to it.

Writing Style: 9/10

jm1681 has good grammar and spelling. I found no typos or bad tenses.

Actions, fight scenes, and what the characters were doing in reaction were definitely good. I always enjoy an author that shows more instead of telling.

Final Verdict: 7/10

Well written. A bit too quick to the next plot point. Characters acted like themselves, but could have used a little more fleshing out or development. Plot could have done with more fleshing out as well. Writing style is good and shows much potential.

I will be reading more of this author's works, and I'm looking forward to doing so.

An excellent story!
I must say that the way you present Saeko and Takashi's parents being opposed to their relationship was outstanding! But I hunk what REALLY sets this story apart from others on HOTD is that YOU realized that the zombies had a life span. And with that in mind came up with a WONDERFUL ending!
This is going to be one of the few fanfiction stories that go down in my book as a
Golden Five Star!
