Ha ha. I totally agree that a lot of Merlin fans can be very melodramatic about stuff that happens to Merlin. A lot of fans seem to think he's a lot more oversensitive than he really is.

I love that he doesn't even know what Arthur's apologising for. So refreshing after all the stories I've read where Merlin practically has a nervous breakdown every time Arthur so much as looks at him wrong. Why SHOULD he be mad at Arthur? It was obvious from the look on Arthur's face that he didn't want to be doing it. And it's not like he didn't try to expose Gaius. If anything, I feel sorry for Arthur believing in Merlin's innocence when he was a sorcerer all along. Obviously I felt sorry for Merlin getting sentenced to death, but that was hardly Arthur's doing. I don't think Arthur owed Merlin an apology at all. The thought honestly never even crossed my mind. It was sweet of Arthur to think he did though.

The part where Arthur starts to walk out of his own room really got me, because I didn't realise he'd done anything weird until Merlin pointed it out. Lol.

LOL that was cute. Really really cute. I wish a scene like that was on the show. Merlin deserved an apology for that arrest. Arthur killed everyone's hope for any reveal for quite some time.

I don't know if you've seen it, but there's a deleted scene from that episode. Arthur comes to Merlin's cell, asks what was he doing with a magic book and promises to talk with Uther. I like that scene, because: a) Arthur cares about Merlin being arrested, which he doesn't in the final version and b) he actually considers the fact that Merlin may have a magic book. They should have kept this instead of some fart jokes.

*chuckle* Hehe. loved this one. Arthur apologizing is just too cute. and the line where merlin said, ...how about we just forget the whole thing ever happened, donkey ears and all? was very in character. it's very much so something if would say.

Haha, this was one of the best things I think I have ever read, Arthur was just so adorable, with Merlin being his fabulous cheeky self! Loved his worry Arthur was going to arrest him again before he realised!
