I can't believe that you forgot about Rocky

A very interesting ‘adult’ take on this classic episode, to say the least.
Starting with your idea about how the Space team ‘broke up’ so that Andros was on this ‘survey mission’ on his own in the first place, you go on to create some interesting ideas about how some of the ‘classic’ Rangers could have regained their powers in the first place (The Zeo explanation felt a bit unnecessarily complicated, but it and the other details seemed to work) and then go on from there to expand on what was seen in the original storyline in a manner that would have been impossible given the time and budget constraints of an actual television series.
While a part of me wishes that you’d gone into some background detail of the other Rangers’ post-Ranger lives for more than just Leo- things on Mirinoi are obviously difficult, and I applaud the concept of Leo being troubled by the social gaps, but it’s not like things would have been totally smooth sailing for the Earth-bound Rangers either- you certainly came up with some dramatic fight sequences, pushing each individual Ranger to a particular limit as the old guard goes back into action and desperate plans are improvised at the last minute to accommodate the scale of the threat facing them. Your idea about how to incorporate the various surviving Red Zords also neatly dealt with my only major shortcoming in the original team-up, as the zords get their own chance to shine against an exceptional threat in a brand-new combination and uses all survivors as fully as possible.
Oh, and nice touch with the final loss at the battle’s conclusion; a dramatic moment to reinforce the severity of the fight, but at the same time avoiding too much of a ‘public outcry’ by making it someone that a large majority wouldn’t have been particularly attached to.

Cool read... just a little minor thing, I always thought that after countdown to destruction that Andros and Tommy were aware of each other especially being that they both served Zordan. But either way this is a very good mature story that doesn't need extreme violence and swearwords to make it a mature and in some ways light hearted adventure... keep it up! and thanks again
