Reviews for The Trials of King Edmund
Father of Understanding chapter 1 . 2/5/2016
I always did have a soft spot for Rabadash. Even after the hook incident. XD
Lady Hallen chapter 12 . 1/25/2013
Dear Author,

I will not make this so long winded, but I suppose it will be longer than the usual reviews you probably receive.

First off, your way of writing was highly consistent, making me appreciate the story to its fullest extent. There was no sudden changes of "era" and you seemed to manage to stick to the form of speaking tolerably, though you did stray at rare points.

Secondly, I adore your plot. It was complicated but it was comprehensible to the reader. Some authors, making extremely complicated plots, seem to think the rest of the world can read their minds. Gratefully, you are not one of those authors.

Thank you for such a wonderful story.

Yours truly,

Lady Hallen

Loved this!
White-Lily-Blossom chapter 12 . 7/12/2011
Edmund is my abseloute favourite, too! I loved this story. I've alwways loved a horse and his boy and the insights it provided into golden-age narnia, so seeing it expanded on was great. And it was so very well written! Great job.

I am writing a fanfiction as well with an OC over this book, and I think I'm going to have to do the same as you have in parts like these...
Rolletti chapter 3 . 4/23/2011
Wow, this is such an impressive story. It's nice to see what leads up to what is in the book. Great job at stressing me out. lol

Love the story and I look forward to reading chapter four.

This was so well written even I'm stressed out. lol You've written the deco of the court so beautifully that I could see it with my mind's eye. And you painted Rabadash with such fine strokes that I see him as the Cheshire cat. lol

Great chapter and I look forward to reading the rest.

I have no idea how I came to this story in lj, but I'm so glad I did. I'm even happier I was able to find you here so I can make regular comments on all of your stories.

I was so taken by this first chapter and now I'm pulled to finish. I've already commented in lj but I just wanted to tell you how wonderful this story is again.

Great and wonderful writing,

Rolletti
White Ivy chapter 12 . 3/23/2011
Good fic! I loved the characterizations.
HarmonyLover chapter 12 . 1/9/2011
I must say that I found Edmund and Cor's conversation absolutely adorable. Edmund, of all people, is surely suited to giving advice on how to be king, since he had such a hard road to follow in learning how to be one. It was nice to see Cor reaching out for help, too. I have enjoyed this story so much! Thank you for writing. HL. :)
FelipeMarcusThomas chapter 12 . 1/9/2011
Very good suggestion of Cor's, with a very good assist by Aravis.

Aslan offered forgiveness to Rabadash, and Rabadash very foolishly spurned it. The Calormene prince earned his fate.

Edmund counselling Cor was a fitting way to end the external affairs aspect of this story. Peter trying to give Edmund the same kind of welcome-home that he gave Lucy was my favourite part, domestic or foreign, of this chapter.

All in all, this story was well done.
Crazy Dyslexic Nerd chapter 12 . 1/9/2011
That was very well written, I believe you captured the characters' personalitys very well. I will probably go and look at your other stories later. That really was good.

Blonde Pickle Mule chapter 12 . 1/9/2011
This was wonderful! The whole story caught Edmund perfectly, and everyone else was in character. You caught his wisdom, and your style of writing is brilliant.
pulchra fabula chapter 12 . 1/9/2011
Awesome ending! This was really good!
HarmonyLover chapter 11 . 1/6/2011
Oh, I liked the ending with the horses very much! Bree and Hwin are so funny, and it was cute to have the other Narnian horse making fun of Edmund. :) Thank you for the new chapter!
