I really liked this. It was a great exploration of the sexual tension between the girls (especially from Carly's POV), and I liked the way you took various short scenes and linked them together through the common thread of Carly's attraction. It was definitely very in-character for both Carly and Sam. I also thought your use of language was impressively economical - you managed to express so much in only a few words.

First thing's first, obviously.

The title of the last chapter is "Fishing" but I initially read it as "Fisting." This probably says a lot about me - perhaps more than is safe to disclose at this point in our budding intraweb friendship. My first thought after misreading the title was - HOLY SHIT that is a leap, they haven't even made out yet. Like - yeah, sure, they've been friends forever but (call me old-fashioned) I think you should have made out with someone AT LEAST a couple times before you start fisting them. I mean, I'm pretty sure it says so in the bible or whatever.

After I re-read the title (my reaction simultaneous relief and mild bereavement) I moved on quickly. All in all it was a nice way to wrap things up. A bit abrupt, maybe but I figure it's just one of those "chase is more interesting than the catch" type approaches. And besides - who the hell would I be to tell you how to write your story?

I really liked the way you used Carly's jealousy throughout the fic. It was a bit of a theme. Jealous of Sam's crush on Spencer. Jealous of Sam's body. And (though this may be me reading a bit too much into things) her envy over the reaction that Sam can solicit from her. It's kind of a sharp contrast (pretty much everywhere but the very end of the story) between their reactions. Sam's got her pokerface on, doing whatever she wants pretty much with no accountability. Carly's reactions are much more obvious (despite her best attempts). The sheer degree of Sam's ability to not react to (or at least not address) any of the evidence of Carly's blatant attraction/frustration/attraction is almost harsh. Actually, a couple times when Carly was really freaking out and Sam was still pushing it and acting like she didn't notice I really thought "God, what a dick."

It all worked out though. And kept things pretty in character. Because Sam IS kind of a dick. And she really does get a kick out of baiting people. And it was probably three times as awesome given that it was Carly who was falling to pieces in front of her - Carly being the quintessential "good girl" and Sam's on-going crusade to corrupt her.

Uh-oh. I think I'm doing that thing where I stop making sense.

I'll wrap this one up.

Great job keeping things in-character (Carly's tendency to over-analyze EVERYTHING was spot-on). The dialogue was true to the show ("They're likeable") and of course it wouldn't have been iCarly-esque without some type of Freddie abuse.

The sparseness of the writing style suited the fic very well. As I'm sure you've learned I have a tendency to get... wordy. Like, A LOT of words. I admire someone who has the restraint required to NOT talk everyone to death at every opportunity.

There might have been other things I wanted to say but I think I forgot them. Honestly - this should be plenty, though. Gonna go eat grapes and play Gears of War now or something.

Very nice... I like the slow build up, the hint of jealousy abot the Spencer situation, the innocence and confusion. Nice use of metaphor at the end.

Aww...that was a really sweet short story. Very believable-I'm a newbie to the 'iCarly' world, only having become a watcher recently, but I must say your tale here certainly got my attention.

Although there are a few minor grammar/spelling errors, they can't detract from the joy I got at reading this. The pace is perfectly drawn out to fit the length of four chapters, and the details are there without going overboard. It sounds beautiful, but doesn't require an overload of words and sentences to convey. That's talent.

LOL at Sam the tease. I can totally see it, too. I love Carly's reactions to everything going on, as well. I could see her freaking out more over the emotions more than Sam, who seems to be a bit more inclined to playfulness; testing out the waters a little. But all those nerves and confusion-plus all the situations Carly wound up in! I'd be freaking out, too! Poor Freddie, getting punched in the face. But I guess that's why you don't get in the way of Sam and what she loves: meat and Carly. :P Still funny.

In the end though,everything fell into place: two were brought together as one. Thank you for sharing this with us here, and brightening up my night. Keep up the great work!

What a wonderful way to end the story. I loved the whole thing. The only thing is, that I felt it a bit short. It was still good, nonetheless. I enjoy your writing, and I hope that you continue. Also, puberty-claus doesn't have an e. Other than that, wonderful job. Keep writing.

Im crushed i really like this story and you stop it so abruptly ,dont get me wrong i liked how it ended, and over all liked the story just wish it was longer. I'll definetly be reading more of your stories.
