tears of joy...
PhoenixDash chapter 2 . 12/14/2010
It's well written, but just one thing on Swedish I think you should change if it's not too much trouble. The thing I want you to change is "Min kärlek" to "Min älskade". It basically means the same thing, but "kärlek" is leaning towards love for one to another and "älskade" means more: you're my loved/beloved. But if you want to you can change around like "Min sanna kärlek" ( My one true love), and etc.

I like Finland and Sweden together, mostly because I'm a "love child" between a person from Sweden and Finland. But the only minor annoyance with them is that Sweden apparently don't know how to speak English... I wonder why that is and who that colored that assumption. Plus we're also quite exposed to the English language seeing as most Swedish songs is now currently sung on English, we rarely dub foreign movies/series and most only put subs on them, English is compulsory to read in school plus it's also one of the three most important subject to pass in; Swedish, Math and English (P.E./Gym is now also an important subject to pass in). If you fail you're forced to retake the whole year, or go in "summer school". That's all on that subject.

...I'm sorry if it seems like I chewed you out, and I know that most that have watched/read Hetalia have basically the same view on Sweden's English. The main problem here could be that we in Sweden are soft-spoken and also like to keep a distance from the person we speak to. If you have ever seen a Swede try to speak to someone from another country you can see them do "The Swedish tango", which refer to when the, ., Italian try to get closer to the Swede to easier speak towards him, the Swede will take a step backwards and so on and so fort. It looks actually very funny from a third point of view!

And once again, I apologize if it seems like I try to chew you out, but it's just a bit annoying trying to describer just what Sweden said, while all the other countries can speak fluently... I'm jealous... Oh and reading something on Swedish in a normally English story throws me out of the loop.. I'm so easily confused in these cases..

Anyway, this was a great story and I can't wait until I get to read some more of this. I hope that you don't take all the things that I've written in this to heart. I just needed to rant for a bit and give a new-er image on Sweden. Oh and if you ever need someone that can help you with Swedish (and only Swedish, because my Finnish is crap) I'm glad to help you out!

Until our path's crosses again!
