Oh ouch. That would've changed the whole movie, if they'd gone this route. Is it wrong to say I think it might've made the movies better? Not that I want Jazz dead, but...this added layers upon layers of depth to the story. Will and Optimus were so awesome together; Will in his shame and Optimus in his resignation. Such amazing characters, made all the more so by this story. :D

After having read this story dozens of times already, I found I finally owed you a review.

How did Quinn phrase it: Working with the Autobots makes one quite cynic about the human race. And this one-shot beautifully captures the truth in that statement. Were it not for the politicians, Jazz could have been brought back like he should have. But the human's greed for power and Optimus' unwillingness to take away men's freedom make the situation quite impossible to solve. No wonder Will didn't come up with a solution. However, I am glad Optimus had a few demands as well, like staying out of human wars or making sure that Jazz can be retrieved. It shows what a great leader he is, worthy of the title Prime.

So to sum up: I absolutely love this one-shot and could read it over and over again, never getting bored by something so inspiring and sad at the same time. You perfectly captured the tricky situation Optimus found himself in, and awesomely presented his choice. Thank you for sharing this story.
