I kinda want to cry right now. Ugh, that was awful and beautiful at the same time. Severus is so very much how I picture him (as always with your writing). Severus being angry while Albus is clueless is just so damn perfect, you have no idea. Every time I come back to your writing after a couple of days away, I'm astounded all over again at how spot-on you write these two characters. Lovely, absolutely lovely little piece. Thanks so much.

Something else Snape could have said: "You're dying because of your own stupidity, and now you've set things up so that I'll be your murderer and hated forever while they worship you at your tomb, and it's a dead certainty that I'll be hunted down by your side as well at the other. And now you want _me_ to comfort _you_. Happy bleeping Christmas to you, too."

He's spent all his life barely tolerated by the others at Hogwarts because Albus keeps telling them to trust him. I wonder what _his_ last Christmas was like? Snape probably thought Albus had this kind of thing in mind all these years, to punish him for living when his beloved Marauders died.

This is extremely well done, though, and I can see Albus yanking Snape's heart one last time, just because he can, and because he still thinks he's the good guy.

If you could write Snape's last Christmas, too, that would be great.
