This is the third time I'm reading this fic and I still absolutely adore it. It makes me laugh in a way that so few Spirk fics do. You really seem to get to the heart of the matter. And you understand Kirk's character (at least, the way I see it) which very few authors do.

Poor Spock - he is SO caught between several rocks and hard places, not the least being his constant disavowing he has emotions even as he throws three kinds of tantrums (Vulcan, of course) any time anyone takes any notice of Jim, or Jim of them, even when it's only to sign a padd. And with Sarek continually on his back not to mention Uhura AND McCoy, he's a mess.
I'm so glad you marked this as humour as well as drama because you ride that dividing line with immense skill. Loving it!

This chapter always makes me laugh, probably because it reflects so many things I've wanted to say to people over the years, excluding the kissing bit given none of them have appealed at all that way, male or female.

I was so into this in the beginning but now I just don't want to read anymore of them violating Jim's trust ( especially Uhura since she's already acknowledged it's wrong to Spock and then basically rapes James privacy for her own curiosity by way of an abuse of power.) It was sort of ok at first because they weren't really close and Spock wasn't James friend...but now it's just wrong and I don't think I'll be able to make myself read anymore of this. I feel so badly for James that people who are claiming to care for and understand him are doing this to him and treating the subject with humor and discussing it between themselves as if they had a right to do so.

If I were James and found out about this or was told, then I would feel horribly violated and upset that the friend I thought I could trust would so willingly disregard my deeply personal thoughts and insight when they KNEW it was private and not meant to be shared. I don't think I'd ever really trust them again, not with anything personal or private since they've already shown a deep disrespect for it in the past.

he has his hands full with an energetic Jim...cant imagine how that would be if they ever have kids
