~ so, you randomly switched character names for that guy in the past few chapters (Petre-Isaiah-Nathan)
~ you started using modern terms that made no sense (Count Chocula, Crispy Critter, etc)
~ you started getting a little ragged in your writing during the last few chapters. I'm assuming it was due to "wanting to be done with it" syndrome, and that makes sense.

meh. I liked Marishka as one of the original brides. Sarina was a pretty name, would have fit this girl. but I dearly like Mari as a name, it just sounds right somehow. ah well.

by the by, I adore this story. Mari is awesome, right from the start, and I really really REALLY hope you change the ending cause that's the one thing I absolutely DESPISED about the movie. guess I'll see when I get there.

Such a dark ending

Nice idea but her language is very off putting to me because people didn't talk like that in the time period. I'm saying writing old english, but they didn't say awesome and women could be independant but it was extremely unusual for women to be so sarcastic. Great start!

No offense to your story plot and all...but I recall during the time of Van Helsing fiction novels (like Lord of the Rings), ships run on coal/steam and airplanes were not invented back then. Good plot though :)
