This was a very good story! I liked seeing Goren as a field agent too - but still the brain of the unit. I would like to see what’s happening with Reggie fleshed out. Maybe if Goren helped her, she would realize how wrong she was. And let’s face it, I would love to see Goren AND Eames kick his ass. Good job!

I get that they have doubts but after months of constant contact why are they are still asking if they are dating she waited months for him

I'm not even half way way through and I just have to tell you how wonderful this story is. It's gentle pace manages to capture so many emotions. I hope Bobby gets to read the journal someday...

I found this chapter to be intense, frantic and fast-paced; but not confusing in the least. Very well written!

Old-fashioned letter writing! How romantic. I like that he is 'forever yours' when he signs his letters. These both just... fit. Excellent.

WOW. This chapter took MY breath away. I realized I was holding my breath and then I couldn't breathe... SO well written, I could feel the tension and Bobby's nervousness.

Each time I read another story of yours, it becomes my new favourite. This is definitely my new favourite. It was like two halves of an orange which fit together in a perfect whole, with lots of juice and pulp inside. The jungle scenes so vivid in my mind. It maybe helped that I have traveled to Amazonas and all the countries you'd mentioned. The letters and journals were so heartrendingly real and romantic and made this story a cut above. For some reason I remember 'Agent Goren' in the hammock. Very good visual. Excellent villain in the short glimpse we got of him. The second half was satisfying because we got to see Bobby being loved, and he slowly accepted the love. The realization that he deserved love was as slow as his painful physical recovery. I particularly liked the uncomfortable scenes at Christmas at the Eames' house. I can imagine that he would feel stifled like that. He's a rough sapphire but in the end, he just had to have her stay. She could never have gone back to her apartment.

The Reggie/Aaron revelation also made a lot of sense. Clever how you weaved that in there almost from the beginning. Unusual to get that kind of continuation in a story that was written a chapter at a time.

So loved your characterisation of Bobby/Agent Goren here. Such a courageous, faithful, patient, intelligent, respectful, tender gentlemen who craves physical affection and love so badly.

PS On a shallow note, thanks for the scene of the shirtless Bobby and Mike 'roughhousing'. Mike's scenes with Alex were also wonderful in this story. Fave line? The one about Mike being insulted when Goren didn't want the old Polish neighbours to think they were a gay couple. Hee!

Just so you know, chapter 1 made me cry. It was so soft and desperate and beautiful. Will review properly when I've read the next 100,000 words.

I enjoyed this so much! From Alex waiting for Bobby to return through his recovery period and finally the happy holiday ending. My favorite part was when she gave her journal to him! A nice story all the way. :)
