OMG the first time I have felt sorry for Mr. Collins!

Oh my goodness I love this story! What a whirlwind it has been. I’m so happy Elizabeth and Darcy are (seemingly) finally able to be together. I hope you return to this story one day because it is so captivating and well written, but I understand how difficult writing is! Thank you for sharing this with us because I enjoyed it so much :)

What a fantastic story! Tragic and sad but then if you believe in the moto “things happen the way they do for a reason” then this is for you.
It is a beautiful tale of missed opportunities and what it takes to realise one is in love and how one can then go about it. You have all the main elements of canon (the insult, the chase, the brooding looks, Miss Bingley, Lady C, Hunsford proposal, Wickham...) and then this writer’s take on it.
It is a long story and I only realise now unfinished. I would hope that you would one day be able to finish it. We are so near what should the HEA!

Why would anyone agree to have the bingley sisters along on their holiday? Madness. And in previous chapters you have darcy and elizabeth meeting up on walks etc and not saying much. He should have followed up on his kiss before the funeral at an appropriate point and proposed. They could then have kept is quiet during the mourning period all the while having something wonderful to look forward to and plan for. Your story could then have ended with Mr C enjoying having a loving family at last (until all the sisters get married off or he marries) and E & D getting married and having their OWN tour of the lakes or whatever for their honeymoon. I enjoyed your story, but now see you probably have given up on it. If you post more stories, I suggest you weed out the oddities autocorrect or whatever has introduced to your text as there are a lot of strange words here and there. Thanks for sharing!

I think the last couple of chapters have been a bit sketchy. You didn't explain what happened to wykham or what the implications of lydia's elopement might be. What exactly was the younger mr Colllins studying? What were his life plans before? His introduction was so lacking in detail and information. You detailed some of his thoughts, but i'm agog to know what he thinks of all this and his further impressions of the family. Surely the uncles gardiner and phillips would sit down with the new master of longbourn and discuss what is to happen to the estate, the family & the money, not just toddle off to london and hope it all works out. in those days, men would be the ones to take decisions and no-one would have expected Mrs B or the girls to be in on the negotiations. The income of longbourn now belongs to mr Collins so the family have no income at all. I would have expected bingley and Darcy to offer to sit down with Mr C and talk about running an estate. Wouldn't mr C have to go back to london and sort out his clothes, lodgings and studies? I'm finding the introduction of this character very interesting (i'mSO glad you got rid of the parson) so i'm wondering what your plans are for him.

Please continue the story! It's quite interesting and we need to learn what happens with young Collins along with Darcy and Elizabeth!

A small problem with the formatting of the story as several long sections are repeating.

Love this story! It definitely needs a bit of tidying up for typos, missing words, or format errors, but that really doesn't distract from the overall tale. One could leave it here, but I do hope there's more! Caroline has been... too silent, which i'm not sure she would at some of those times.
