Wow..just wow, it's short but i feel like ive read multiple chapters and it's great. The ending is sweet too!

I love this. SO much. I was to say the least overjoyed with how Alfred is characterized. It was just so admirable to see him be dedicated to what he likes and such variance in his interests too.

Honestly when I read "but it wasn't just the game play of football" it won me over for the entire fic. I knew nothing after was going to make me not like this.

And it was awesome. I love how it starts with a great friendship that seems to have everything going for it then slowly morph into that rivalry this pairing is known for while showing neither of them wanted it. I could sense that Ivan probably just wanted all along to hang out but at the same time i can sympathize with alfred's perspective and feelings. It was a bit heart wrenching. Then the ending was so bittersweet and aaaa feels.

Oh my god! This is so perfect. This is the best way to express how I feel sometimes. It's fine, we're friends, untill your better than I am. Then we're rivals. The way you describe in brief and concise sentences, how you characterize Alfred and Ivan, how the initial attraction and friendship turns into rivalry and hatred because of misunderstandings and jealousy.

The ending was the final touch.

That was both very very sweet, and yet very very sad. Ivan is too cute, but I felt so bad for Alfred. The ending was sweet and cute too, but with everything that had happened before it, I had wished fluff too.

I mean I enjoyed the first meeting and how it shows that he doesn't hate Ivan but it's more like envy among other things and how Al wants to be on top. I enjoy this more than the 'you're just a commie and I hate you,' that's in a lot of fics with these two.

Also the ending made me giggle, especially on how Ivan explained why he did those things in a different perspective.

This motivated me a lot and made my day3 The best story I read all day.
