Great story! Long time running, often had to refresh myself and probably forgot the beginning by the end but I still enjoyed it. Nice ending :) I'd have said that you should have done an epilogue to see how it worked out but it sounds like you may be working on a sequel.

I knew Remus wasn't dead! I always had faith in James that he knew what he was doing. I'm glad to see that he didn't betray my faith.
I think the ending to this is perfect. Though I will admit that I would have liked to see a sex scene but I think you're right, it wouldn't have fit. Besides, I like this ending.
Typical Remus to correct Sirius on the number of times he has died before kissing him. Anyone else would let it go and focus on the more important things but not Remus. It's just not in his nature to let something like that go. Though I suppose that if I had died twice, I would like people to get the number right.
And typical Sirius panicking over ruling the large estate. I think part of him is worried that he'll turn out to be more like his family and end up making a mess of it. Not that that will ever happen with Remus around to help him. Remus was right to suggest breaking down the estate and letting Tonks and the Lovegoods rule the Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw estates.
I can't picture anyone who would marry Sirius and not care that he has a servant lover. And a male one at that. The only people that come to mind are some of his cousins but they're out. Sirius would never marry them and I get the feeling that they would kill Remus just because he was a servant who was the lover of the duke.
I loved the notebook. I can tell that you worked very hard on it and it is very well done. I just can't help but wish Remus had written more in it. Perhaps someday there will be a sequel to this? And there's going to be an Atticted Sequel?! I don't remember reading about that. I'm off to read through the story and see if I missed it. I hope there is a sequel to it. It is a very good story.

As always, an excellent chapter. First off, I knew I was right to put my trust in James. Even at the beginning when you said that with Remus dead someone had to tell the story, I never believed he was truly gone. And now that I think about it, I recall James and Remus planning a way to give Sirius the life he deserved. And I can't help but wonder if this was part of their plan. I think it was.
Sirius' Black training has served him well. He managed to keep a calm face upon learning that the love of his life was dead and that he was to take Remus' place. As much as we hate the Blacks, we have to admire their stubbornness. Not just in Sirius' case. But it can't be easy to teach a child that they must lock away every emotion and show nothing. Especially since children show everything. And for Sirius, who shows his emotions and is different from his family, keeping it up in the face of the news he receives, that takes skill.
I really liked the ending. The moment James said that he was going to send up a servant to help Sirius I knew it would be Remus. There's no one else it could have been. I can't blame Sirius for not recognizing Remus at first. He was lost in his memories of Remus and didn't realize he was right in front of him. I would have started crying too there at the end.
Can't wait for the last chapter.

As usual, first things first. I'm glad my extended reviews make it worth updating. I shall do my best with the remaining few chapters. Now, before I get on to all the things I liked about this chapter, there is one little thing I want to point out. In the sentence "Even if one of them came of the hook." The second of should be spelled off. It's a common mistake that everyone, even those who grew up speaking English make. I do it all the time.
Now on to what I liked about this chapter. First, Peter's trial. I liked that it was a short trial with only one obvious outcome. In my mind, if that trial had ever taken place in the Wizarding World, that's the way it would go. Peter would confess out of fear and possibly hope for a more lenient sentence. And with all the evidence and confessions from both Peter and Sirius, there would be only one verdict. I also like how you give Sirius his true heritage without taking it away from Remus. That wouldn't be what Sirius wants. He would rather wait to inherit the estate after Remus passes than to take it from him now. I can feel Remus' desire to look upon Sirius one last time without the curtain and possibly give him a kiss.
As bad as it sounds, I hope Remus doesn't find a wife and have children. While I want him to have a purpose in life, I want that purpose to be with Sirius. Though whichever way you do it will be great, I'm sure.
Finally, I don't hate you for the ending. James said to trust him and I will trust him. He probably has some elaborate plan in place for Remus and Sirius to get together and this is the only way to accomplish it. I just can't see you killing Remus off after all this.
I promise I'll finish reading.

Ah... so clever. He's not allowed on Gryffindor estate until Remus comes to pass...
And James is faking Remus' death.
Ooooh I can't wait for the next chapter to see how it plays out. Will Sirius become heir, and Remus become Neil and take a job at the estate, so they can be together? Whats going to happen? :)

I hope that Sirius and Remus get back together, I'm sure they'll find a way (I haven't had a chance to read back yet, but sort of remember what happened, I'll go back to the earlier chapters later)

Great Chapter. I'm glad Peter was found and confessed without being tortured. Remus doesn't seem like the kind of person who would condone it unless absolutely necessary. And even when it is necessary, I get the feeling James only gives him the bare minimum of information. Like the confession itself.
I'm glad Orion and Fenrir will be placed on trial as well. I can't wait to see how you do the trials. However you choose to do them, I'm sure it will be great.
It's just like Remus to do everything he can to make sure Sirius has a happy life after all he's been through. And to disguise it as reimbursement. Even if that happy life doesn't include them having each other. Should I hope for a happy ending in which they do have each other or should I give it up now? Either way, I'm still looking forward to the end of the story and will be eagerly awaiting the last three chapters. And the diary.

Alright, where do I start? First, this was a really good story. It wasn't at all what I expected when I read the summary and for that, I'm glad. It turned out better than I had imagined it would. I love how you incorporate Peter's betrayal and Sirius taking the blame into the story. Though I am very glad that Peter confessed to James before Sirius was wrongly executed. I also loved seeing other HP characters popping up in the story. I think you got James, Remus and Sirius' characters perfectly. Remus would make a wise and just duke. James would be great as his loyal servant, friend and advisor. And Sirius falling in love with Remus and then taking the blame so that Remus would not have to suffer any more pain because of his family. That's exactly what I thought he would do.
As to putting the diary online, I don't know how you would be able to do the drawings, but you might be able to type up the entries and post them as a separate story.
Finally, Are you going to update this story soon? I hope so. I want to know how it ends and what will happen to Remus and Sirius. Though I do know how it is to have real life get in the way of writing new chapters. Happens to me all the time.

Ooohh!this is so good,I love the intro and the way things seem to be so I just say something?For most of the part,the spacing was perfect but towards the end, from 'a few minutes later, Remus found...' the spacing isn't doubled,it kind of makes it look a bit you ever feel like,you could try fixing that up. :)
