This was almost profound, and so heartwarming and F'ing creepy at the same time. I love how you describe your characters. Shadow-King-Oracle-Mycroft Holmes nearly killed me, btw. You establish connections between buildings and people by making the buildings experience things, which I think was very well done. Did you have to do a lot of research to write this, or was all that knowledge off the top of your head?

this is a beautiful story! I LOVE how you wrote London and its interactions with its streets and the Thames. the part about the archives was a nice touch.

Dude, this stuff was strange but cool. Although they it eaten and that wasn't nice. If you ever wrote an original story with this concept I'd read it.

Your story did something amazing: it made me change my entire prospective of Sherlock.
221b's name for John was different, while in a good way. A definitely strange way of describing him. Also, the part where the Thames is talking to London, especially the things in parentheses(widow washing clothes, mother fox protecting), were so thought-provoking that I just sat on my bed for five minutes and thought about all the subtext and emotions in their conversation. Now that I've read it, I can't watch Sherlock without thinking about stars and KEEP CALM AND CALL THE DEDUCING DUO and possessive rooms and cabbie drivers.

Creepy and eerie and just the prose, it's beautiful.

That was beautiful. When thinking about legends of the past it's difficult for me to reconcile BBC's Sherlock, modern and quirky, with them sometimes. Your writing and your ability to maintain a surreal and wonderful atmosphere throughout has definitely taken away that difficulty ) Thank you so much for posting; this will be one of my favourite pieces of 2013.
