Awww, sweet!

Personally, I believe that Doumeki always loved Watanuki. In my head-canon he decided to leave offspring after... I believe it was the last chapter with the original Doumeki, when something about protecting the ones you loved was mentioned, and Doumeki seemed oddly thoughtful. Knowing he would have to leave Watanuki at some point, he decided to create something that would protect and love him forever: his family. In a way, he had children not because he loved his wife but because he loved Watanuki. Selfless and a bit socially incompetent, but that does sound like Doumeki, right?

I can absolutely relate. The last chapters made me feel as if part of myself was crumbling into ruins. Oh god, that moment when you realise everybody Watanuki knew and loved is long dead! *sobs uncontrollably at the memory* What I mean to say, reading this is giving me closure, too. Thnx!

Wow, this is the most perfect and absolute ending I could have ever hoped for. I'm so happy that i found this and was able to read it. I greatly appreciate the obvious effort and time you put into creating this story. Oh this story is just amazing! It made me want to cry when i realized in the last chapter that the man sitting next to Watanuki wasn't the Doumeki but actually his great grandson. It would have made me so happy if this was how they truly ended the series rather than the abrupt cut off that they did. Your writing skills are phenomenal. I cant wait to read more! thank you for this wonderfully heart wrenching tale of hope. 3

a) Not having read the manga makes the 3rd chapter incomprehensible. (I've only seen all the animated material) I will remedy this right after I finish this review.

b) You're so good that you disgust me. It's like when you see something that demonstrates so much badass skill that you make a face because it just pisses you off, if you know what I mean. You piss me off. If you can believe that that's a good thing.

c) I already know that I'll be coming back to reread this story after the end of the manga. However, I really have no idea what's going on in the Tsubasa universe. I really hope that's not a problem. I thank you in advance for providing a soothing balm to what I've conjectured is a rather traumatic ending (for the readers).

It was beautiful! I really like your version of the ending, it feels more complete to me than the original (which seemed kind of abrupt to me). :) Also love how you had Kohane, Fai, Kurogane and Syaoran are tied in also.

Like you, I like to think that CLAMP would not leave the Holic/TRC finish like that but unfortunately they are CLAMP, you never know with them so adding an epilogue where things go better is great (I really, really hate TRC ending, It was too much to ask they get a happy end after all?). I say CLAMP works are like train-wrecks, you see the inevitable disaster but cant stop reading, well, hope is the last thing one loses and for now Gate 7 looks unlikely to end like that. Bye
