I'm starting to love all of your stories :D I'm going to assume that Ed got back safe and sound because I wouldn't be able to stand it if he didn't. I mean c'mon, he was so happy right before he left! The last sentence kinda started that mood because when you think of the last you of saw of someone you automatically thing they'd died or something. Anyway, this was great! |

| kim-onka chapter 1 . 2/12/2012 Ah, you made Ed a Slytherin, too? A mysterious Slytherin who keeps sitting in the library and ignores other Slytherins and generally everyone. I might have already told you, but I really love the type of narration where you show a character through the eyes of someone who doesn't know anything about them, so whenever you write like that, it's an automatic huge plus in my book ;) Other than that... I suppose only the perspective of being permanently separated from Al can get Ed that upset, while the hope of reunion would be his motivation, so the Patronus scene makes perfect sense. It's interesting to see how - very much unlike Penance - here Ed isn't involving himself significantly, he only sees his time at Hogwarts as an unrelated period which is to be left behind as soon as he returns home. Hence the clash of perspective with Harry, for whom Hogwarts is his life and home, and who imagines that O.W.L.s might be important to our alchemist - especially that he knows nothing about Ed's world. Just a thought ;) |
