Reviews for Taking This One to the Grave
Cherrygum2000 chapter 1 . 9/11/2018
Tragic and you can see both the good and bad of all characters
nobody's doorway chapter 1 . 7/24/2016
This story is wonderfully written. It's twisted, but makes sense from his perspective.
hollyivy7 chapter 1 . 6/2/2014
this is actually amazing. there are no unrealistic happy endings where azimio does a sudden about-face. he's still an asshole, but this story is touching.
jazzypizzaz chapter 1 . 5/13/2013
this was a really original idea! disturbing to be inside Azismo's head, but you captured his character really well
ficdirectory chapter 1 . 10/13/2012
I discovered your stories maybe a week ago, starting with Home, which was SO AMAZING! And I have been working my way through them on LJ, but as LJ has been tempermental for me, I thought I'd comment here instead. Your grasp on these characters - especially Kurt - is incredible! I love the idea that Kurt confides in Azimio without knowing that Azimio can understand him. Such an interesting aspect to this story, all the French. I really loved it. And your insight into Karofsky, as well. Great story!
hanna chapter 1 . 3/13/2012
i just wanted to beg for a sequel, but then i noticed there already is one :)
tweedledumskittles chapter 1 . 11/9/2011
I love what you did here. Although it's a bit strange, and it kinda settles uncomfortably in my stomach. Not sure why. But I love the way you wrote this - like, in Azimio's perspective. He doesn't understand homosexuality. He does what he does cuz it's like... The cliche thing to do, and with the lack of knowledge and understanding about the issue. He's still mean. But the humane side of him kept Kurt's secrets, and tried to protect Kurt from his bestfriend. Ugh... I dunno whether I should hate Azimio or not.

Still. I loved reading this. The angst! Geezus.
May Eve chapter 1 . 11/3/2011
There is so much awesome and plain wrong about this fic, I really don't know how to respond.
nessyschu chapter 1 . 10/17/2011
That was epic. I love the idea and you wrote it so well. Loved it.
jcarol555 chapter 1 . 8/23/2011
I haven't ever really been into one shots, but these are so good! All of your stories are extremely unique with well-written characters and plot lines. Subscribed!
perchance to wake chapter 1 . 8/11/2011
That was incredibly different. And strange. Really well written, done very realistically and a great insight into a previously unexplored character. But I really don't like him much. But he's very interesting...

It's a great story.

KrystalB2003 chapter 1 . 8/4/2011
Okay, so I seem to remember saying a few stories back that I wasn't actually going to leave a review for every one of your stories... but damn, it seems like everything I read of yours touches me in a different way, and I just have to keep coming back to tell you how awesome you are at getting inside these characters' heads. To go from Wes-likens-Kurt-to-a-Disney-princess-because-he-sings-with-his-bird to something like THIS?

You've left me feeling very confused about how I should feel about Azimio, and I think that's the brilliance of this piece. On the one hand, he refrained from ever using Kurt's secrets against him, saved him from Karofsky's clutches on more than one occasion, and sort of even saved Karofsky from himself. On the other hand, he was totally fine with tormenting Kurt as long as it never got too personal, and his method of "saving" Karofsky included denying him the right to even acknowledge his feelings, and brushing off a suicide attempt as some weird experimental phase. And yet... I could completely understand where he was coming from the whole time. Not agree with... but understand? Definitely.

I think this is my favorite so far of everything I've read of yours. Until the next story, that is... :-)
betweenlife chapter 1 . 5/30/2011
Wow. Such a unique take. Loved this.
LittleRedOne chapter 1 . 5/2/2011
I kind of love and dislike this all at the same time. I mean, the story is wonderful and the writing is fantastic. So, really, I love it. All I really dislike is how Azimio reacts to Karofsky, but it's totally in character and you didn't try to change it to make it some fluffy friendship story. So I guess I just dislike the character and that's about it. It plays out completely realistically and that's something brilliant. I think it's proof of how great a writer you are that, even though I don't like or agree with Azimio's actions or thoughts, I can understand them as he thinks them. I get his point of view because you did a good job portraying it. So kudos for that.

I loved how you had Kurt confessing all these details about his life in french and thinking Azimio didn't understand him. It's a really great idea. I think you wrote him fantastically as well. Same with Karofsky.

I don't have the time now, but I look forward to reading the sequel when I do! I can't wait to see how it plays out.
Oustiti chapter 1 . 5/2/2011
This is really and impressive story. It's an interesting point of view. It is a very orriginal concept.

Though I cannot help but be slightly amused at the mental sound of their conversations. I love Chris/Kurt and his French is decent but Americans have really funky accents when they speak French. No offence to anyone.

I'm going to read the sequel now.
