I had read the latest chapter around January (thank you so much for the Christmas gift by the way!), then some time passed, the I listed to the audio, then some more time passed, then I re-read the latest chapters and then some more time passed... no matter. It was a beautiful chapter as always.

Wow! Love this story. It’s really thorough and realistic. Also love the whole Viri thing. Definitely makes Sephiroth seem more human. Also makes it seem like maaaybe he can be saved. Thanks for writing this!

Ok. I think I have gathered my thoughts enough to write this review now. How can I possibly articulate how much I appreciate this story?

First, the characters: I have never loved the depictions of our SOLDIER boys as much as I do in this fanfic. The friendship between Zack and Cloud is everything I wish they could have experienced in the canon. You take them seriously. They remain recognizable as themselves, yet you add the complexity of emotion that makes them human. I love to see Zack and Cloud be able to build off of mutual respect and being able to depend on one another. Sometimes with time travel!cloud, he is made annoyingly weak willed or given godly abilities. Your Cloud is the perfect amount of fallible but still the badass we came to love in the games. Post game cloud WOULD be confident and tough, even when put back in his hormonal teenage body. But of course he still has his emo moments, which is why he needs Zack! They balance each other perfectly, and can draw out facets of their personalities that otherwise would atrophy.

The dynamic with Aeris and the two guys is wonderful as well. The scene were they took her to the festival above the plate warmed my jaded heart. Sephiroth is marvelous! He is one of my all-time favorite characters of any book, game, movie... And you did right by him. I am dying to see the relationship develop between him and Cloud. I am literally in pain. I need to get to the romance. I am so emotionally invested in this story, its honestly crazy.

That might be the most remarkable thing of all about your writing talent: you have the power to stir my emotions and draw me into the story masterfully. Don't get me started on your action and battle scenes, for example. My heart would literally race when the fights get going. I would have to take a few moments of a break and i would put my hand on my chest and feel my heart rate pounding, and then I would have to dive back in to the story to find out what happens next. I would laugh out loud and have my eyes prickle with tears at different times.

I hope you are told over and over again that you have a real gift for writing. It is a talent that has clearly been honed and sharpened through practice until you wield it as skillfully as our SOLDIER boys use their swords. I can only hope that the FF7 remake that recently came out will inspire you to continue writing this story. It would mean so much to me if you would. I have read a LOT of ff7 fanfic over the years, and this story is my favorite by far. I see that you last updated in dec 2019, so I can only hope that you have not lost interest in this fic yet.

You are amazing! Thank you for giving me such a treasure to read. I appreciate all the hard work you have clearly put in. YOU ROCK! Never stop writing. :)

Can i just say...That i love Zack.

I missed a bunch of chapters since last reading. Wow! Your description of Aerith's discovery really hit hard, well done. The tension is reaching unbearable levels. Can't wait to read the next installment, particularly since I just beat the FF7 remake. Thanks for your hard work!

I love this story. It has an interesting storyline, great character development, and it's easy for readers to relate to and connect with your characters. These are a few times that feel almost like a stall, but you resolve that quickly and get it back on pace efficiently. Your prose is beautiful and get things across well, though there is almost a try too hard within the first few paragraphs of the chapters - many writers do this, and I think it stems from the desire to hook the reader or maybe the excitement of starting the project. It usually doesn't last long, but it sticks out slightly. These are all minor things, and I hope it doesn't come across as too criticizing. Overall, I love this story. You are a step above many of the writers here and I look forward to seeing this story develop further.

This chapter was my favorite. It made me sad when Cloud apologized that he couldn't get to her sooner. It broke me because she didn't really understand him. I'm so excited for the remake. I love Zack and Aerith as well. Love this story and you are doing a great job!

I love that little chocobo, so cute. Glad Cloud's working to see people beyond his memories of them. Amusing Zack named the bar. Interesting to see what the Turks are thinking about him, hope they don't jump to bad conclusions. Surprised he hasn't tried to work out a way to get poor Vincent out f the coffin yet or does he figure he'll ignore him to stay hidden away even if he could? Loved Cloud and Zack sparing against each other and everyone else watching. Amusing that he blew up the training room and yeah, Zack does need to work out everything he's forgotten about Shinra, what if he breaks a rule without knowing about it or something?

okay, reviewing since I really need to go to bed now. Loving it! Poor confused Cloud. So why were the scientists coming and why did Sephiroth want to be gone first and with Cloud's group? Poor Cloud finding himself facing Zack drawing a sword on him, especially when he doesn't remember the events that would clarify his reaction. The look inside Zack's head after is so sad. Glad he's going with his gut and siding with Cloud though. the baby chocobo is just so cute!

Ohh, I really like Katana. Hes got a sort of off beat quality about him which is really descreate but that somehow gives him an edge

Love to see things from Sephiorth's perspective. Although he complains about Zack's reporting skills, his thought processes is quite similar. on so many levels incomprihensible because his thought's scirt around the heart of the matter leaving it unsaid so you as the reader has to read between the lines.

One thing I really appreciate with this Cloud in counter crisis is that he accepts to a certain degree help from the people around him, and in typical cloud fashion, with compleate disregard for their social status.

So, Connely, Edge and Gibbs know some, now... (Somehow I'm not so surprised, Cloud have this thing about accidentaly forming a team...)

Oh shit, Connely died in the ravine in canon and Cloud totally forgot ! (Connely's wariness about Viri was hilarious !)

By the way, Zack with his family was fun ! (and Cissnei probably getting more info on the guy).

I just LOVED Sephiroh's interactions with Cloud. Little sadist and pigtail-pulling come to mind, even if he has a reason for officialy disparaging Cloud. And the interaction in his flat ? The look ? Shilling and exciting at the same time ! Here goes a mystery/toy that has very much captured the attention of the cat...

LOL frightening thing for the TURK, that, one one side they are lacking info, on the other side the only info they get is on their little mystery being probably stronger that Invincible Man... Ouch !
