This was really really really well done! I love how implicit this is, it makes it much more beautiful and poignant that you managed to keep it simple and we don't see or hear everything. Fugaku really is dense, kind of has tunnel vision, and that's what I gather mainly from his character. You pinned it perfectly. The only thing that bothers me is WHO THE HELL was number 4 referencing with the death kanji! I feel really stupid for not getting it!
