I'm not familiar with Hawaii Five-0 (not seen or heard of it) but I thought that this was a good read. I like the suspense: is he still alive, isn't he etc. Plus i couldn't help but chuckle out loud when Danny called Steve a stupid SOB but then changed it to "moderately intelligent ass" to be nice lol Awesome line.

Nice start to a story to get the readers hooked :D

This was outstanding!

If there's any piece of writing on here that defines Steve and Danny's relationship, either as a one shot or a chapter in an ongoing story, this has to rank with the best of them. You've done it so simply, too, with taking the boys back up the mountain to finish what Steve needed to start.

Now there's closure for him, acceptance for Danny that maybe, just maybe, he's finally found his place on the island, and the simple pleasure of their friendship.

A truly beautiful story, that's been a pleasure to read.

Ah, no H50 story, let alone one as good as this, is complete without two crucial ingredients - pineapple and Gracie.

Oh, and a resourceful Danny too, of course - first to get the separate pizzas, then to conspire with Grace to sign Steve's cast.

Again, his reaction to Steve's refusal to let him sign it himself is classic Danny. He knows Steve is trying to annoy him, so he vows *not* to get annoyed. Brilliant.

And, of course, you had the more serious plotline carrying on here too. Danny knows how much that hike meant to Steve, especially where his memories about his father are concerned. Why do I get the feeling they'll be heading up there again in your final chapter?

Great job on this one too. I'll be so sorry to see this story end, but I can't wait to see how it finishes.

I hope you realize that you've given me stitch here. No, really, I was laughing so hard, my laptop was bouncing. And this image of Danny in Steve's clothes, complete with wild hair and flip flops, just made my weekend.

And then he has to face Gracie. Is there no end to our poor Danny's suffering?

There were so many lines here that made me giggle, but my favourite? *Because your Uncle Steve is an idiot* I can just picture Scott Caan saying this line.

Still, at least it's left the way clear for Grace to get to Steve's cast, but I shudder to think what her Danno will 'persuade' her to write on it. Lines, maybe?

*I must not torment and torture Danno...*

On to the next chapter to hopefully find out.

Hmmm, so poor Danny's back on SEAL-sitting duty. Well, I know it's rather late to suggest it now, but here's something to consider for the next time SuperSEAL goes a bit gaga on his meds.

Set up a giant size shark cage on your nearest lanai, lure your SEAL into it with a trail of nice pineapple, sneak some sleeping tablets in there, and get busy with your jump leads.

Okay, maybe not. Knowing Steve, he'd just stand up and carry the cage off on his back.

On the more serious side - yes, I can understand Steve's need to make up for finding that body in one of his 'special places'. And the neutrality of Danny's reply still lets him know that he understands.

Another great chapter, ended perfectly with them arguing (what else?) over who gets first dibs in the bathroom.
