You know, I can remember reading this fic when you'd had yet to finish it. It's been what, nearly seven years now? I still think of this fic, from time to time...a testament to your writing skills. I know your account has likely been long-abandoned, and you'll probably never read this review, but oh well. I hope you are doing well, and thanks for writing a fic that I could read that could cheer me up in my darker moments, no matter how quirky it was.

This was a great fic that I'd never thought I'd see with Kaiba and Pegasus. I half-expected it to be Toonshipping, but color me surprised. Thanks for writing it and showing that even the bitterest of enemies can come to understand each other! :D

i read KP duty years ago and enjoyed it and i'm so glad to see you're still writing excellent fic for this fandom. i never knew i needed a reluctant kaiba-pegasus buddy fic in my life until i read this.

i bust my gut so many times at their dialogue which was absolutely pitch-perfect. at the same time, the characterizations are really quite different from what i've seen before. it's interesting how you basically started with typical perceptions of their characters, as narrated by their assistants (creepy dandy fop, contentious socially-inept workaholic) and made them into these really great, interesting characters. the characters are sympathetic, but not to the point of melodrama. this is commendable, especially considering that the main characters are pegasus and kaiba who are both villains with tragic pasts and who can come off as terribly one-dimensional, even in the canon series. kaiba's ineptitude at socializing was written really well too and one of my favorite parts of the fic. i think "Kaiba bared his teeth and slit a fish without looking" was one of my favorite lines, along with the "you've always been more cutthroat" line from pegasus.

the amount of detail you put in was astounding as well, it added so much to the overall feel of the fic and made kaiba and pegasus' jobs look even grosser and more hilarious for me. the OCs felt like they could be real people and fit so perfectly that i didn't even think of them as characters that only existed within the world of this fic. the depth of characterization and detail are so lush that this fic pretty much played out like a really good movie in my head! i would pay lots of $$$ to see a kaiba and pegasus road trip movie if it was anything at all like this fic.

The sory was cute and funny and if I remerber corredtly, they weren't OOC. I really loved it!

From the very fisrt chapter i thought this would be one heck of a story. And I was right. It was funny, sweet, insightful and above all else a great read :) i was very impressed how you put together the two most unlikeable characters (I mean that in a practicaly real-life way - I love kiaba :P) and made them extremely likable without making them too OOC. Well done. Great story and i loved their unlikely friendship :D I will now go looking for more kiaba/pegasus friendhshippy fanfics :D

This chapter completely through me for a loop. I actually had to stop and collect myself when Kaiba kissed Pegasus! Overall, very well written and adventurous. It really offered a new insight into each character while staying true to how they were outlined in the original manga/show. Well done, and I hope you write more soon!

Haha. Awesome ending! It amuses me that Mokuba got Kaiba chipped as well since Mokuba seems to be the only one who is regularly kidnapped. Also the fact that the captians got together was awesome! I loved this story and I would have to say my favourite part was... hm... you know, it was so easy to write the sentence but now I don't know how to end it. The beginning with the fight that led to the bet was awesome. The getting cornered by Ski Mask and Ted was epic. And then the bar. Oh my gosh. Haha. Awesomely done! I'm totally coming back for a reread!

This fic was awesome – I started reading on AO3, but updates were quicker here. And this chapter had me in giggle-fits throughout. (That bit where Seto started fixing Roland's elbow had me flailing, admittedly. My girlfriend gave me this awesome raised eyebrow. XD)

Anyway. Awesome. Amazing. REALLY glad I found it and decided to try a YGO fic after all these years.

HAHA Oh my goodness. And on my birthday too! YAYYYYYY. Ah, well, yes, I didn't know any of the songs, I started getting giddy and blushy imagining male strippers, (Why *are* they so very awkward in my head OTL) but it was awesome. I loved how much more Kaiba was in these chapters, and he worked so awesomely with Pegasus that even though it's a friendship story, all my Toonshipping wishes are completely satisfied. So happy so very happy. And SHY!Pegasus was so adorable and so strangely IC. Nothing like I would have imagined, though they do say that people who put up facades do so because they're incredibly vulnerable. How interesting. I reeeeeally want to read the next chapter. Keep up the good work!
