this was really good

A little dark, but the realism you injected into this story made it compelling to read. I felt a faint yet distinct feeling of how it is to lose yourself due to war. It was an eye-opener.

"She was suited for the slow work behind enemy's lines, for hard weeks in the field without any contact to the main cadres, always in danger." Wow! I really loved everything in this one-shot! Every description and the way you wrote it. Perfect! :)

Interesting. As an Ino fan, hers still isn't a name that comes to me when I think of shinobi who thrive in war. This was a welcome change from the vapid manner many writers portray her in. I like how she's semi-disgusted by the fact that she's -not- that digusted at herself, if I understood things correctly.

“She couldn't remember the last time she had worn a skirt.”

So that was the very first thing I saw when I clicked the link. And I cracked up. Good stuff. xD

But everything else is just wow. There are so many lines I could pick out as being absolutely perfect, but really, this entire thing is perfection. The emotion is spot-on and I love how Ino realizes she’s made for so much more than what’s expected of her. And I like how you compare her to the other girls and it’s made obvious that Ino is very different from them.

So yeah, this was amazing and thank you for writing it. (:
