I liked that... Looks like a hot streak tonight. I should catch up on the Cade more often.

What really stood out about this fic is the way you involved Beck. Most of the times, he's just shoved aside, but he's actually part of the action here.

The holy trinity of characterisation, plot and narrative were also done very well. I personally would've liked to see a less open ending, but it works.

In all seriousness, great job. I like how you portrayed Jade in a situation like this because I can completely see her acting that way. Same with Cat, and even though she was drunk, it seemed as though she sort knew what she was doing, which I can see.

This dropped into my inbox this morning and I figured since I was on a roll, I might as well check this one out too.

I don't know how well I'll be able to articulate myself at this point, but I'll give it a shot.

The best part of this whole thing was the Beck/Jade/Cat dynamics.

I particularly enjoyed reading Drunk!Beck. It was pretty much exactly how I imagined Beck would be. He really strikes me as a guy that takes his appeal to women for granted. Like, seriously. Kind of full of himself and with an undeservedly high opinion of his flirting skills. He also strikes me as the kind of guy that cares way too much about being "cool" (the ridiculously laidback thing is either a front or he's just... painfully boring. really, I'd buy either) so it was kind of gratifying to see him fall into the kind of teenage boy stereotype he would probably think quite beneath him, under normal circumstances.

Jade and Cat were perfect to. Nothing too overblown or soap-opera-y, but their relationship felt pretty real. You really communicated the sense that they were on the cusp of something major at the beginning, and by the end I had the feeling that maybe they were actually ready for it. That simple invitation - "Come with me." - was perfect. It summed everything up really nicely.

That probably all made far less sense than I intended, but I'm tired and [other excuses].

I really like the thought of Jade not liking to drink, and act stupid. Beck was getting on my nerves but that was expected. I loved the tension between Cat and Jade.

This was a great one shot. Its got me thinking of what would have happened next.

Very well written and in character. If the internet hands I would clap, um, but since it doesn't I'll have to settle for telling you this was pretty amazing :)
