Reviews for Nigh Upon Thee
Hathor-Aroha chapter 1 . 10/31/2013
A beautiful story-I can definitely feel that the mother's grief is very genuine in this. It's one of those stories where I'm so into the words that I almost forget to breathe, and when I do, it's a breath of sadness and sympathey for the characters.
Carling chapter 1 . 10/14/2013
Your humorous Drarry storied are what drew me, but I had to peek and must say your serious stories about other characters really add dimension to the HP world.
Guest chapter 1 . 3/9/2013
Absolutely heartbreaking. Absolutely canon.
FlameOfIllumination chapter 1 . 6/8/2012
Nice! The pain is this is palpable. Lovely exploration of the darker side of being muggleborn.
Guest chapter 1 . 9/19/2011
This was positively brilliant. The last line will haunt me for days in the most wonderfully eerie way. Thank you for this gift
XIlikexsX chapter 1 . 7/25/2011
No one ever remembers poor Colin... Good job!
mermaidgirl45 chapter 1 . 5/30/2011
Wow! Just, wow! It's really neat to see how Colin's mom reacts to this. I never really thought about it, especially how she wouldn't know the full depth of the war, or perhaps blame it on magic. The whole thing was very, very sweet. )
BigDestiny chapter 1 . 5/24/2011
That was very sad. I don't know how I'm going to make it through Deathly Hallows Pt. 2.

Surprised that you don't have more reviews. Colin really DOESN'T get enough love. Though this has been sitting in my inbox for a while now because I wasn't sure I was ready for more Colin angst. Maybe everyone is dreading reading this.

Very well done fic. Thank you.
AvainL chapter 1 . 5/15/2011
Really sad, really beautiful :)
MidsummerNightGirl chapter 1 . 5/14/2011
That was the second story I read in a row that made me cry, beautifully painful.
legomaker4623 chapter 1 . 5/13/2011
Beautiful story. Very well done.
Ingrid chapter 1 . 5/12/2011
This story is heartbreaking! I had never thought much about Colin's mother, but this depiction of her grief for her son and her anger and incomprehension towards a world she never understood was pitch perfect. The emotion is so believable in this story, which is hard to do...sometimes with tragedy, writers use overwrought language and it becomes too dramatic and unbelievable, but I can really see this happening. I've always had a soft spot for Colin as a character, and I thought his obsession/crush on Harry was very sweet. Off to try to find some Harry/Colin now!
