Ok . . . first of all, I can see why this 1000 word one shot got over 400 favs. But, none the less, their is one, singular problem I have with this. and it lies in two keywords. Courage, and Wisdom. I know I'm probably just nitpicking, but I feel the need to explain why either your depiction of(no matter how emotionally brilliant it is) or the labeling of the triforce would have to be wrong.

Courage, is not fearlessness. Courage is ones ability to face what makes one afraid, and continue onwards anyway. But here, we have a Link who, do to having the TRIFORCE OF COURAGE, has lost the ABILITY to . . . worry . . . be nervous . . . be afraid . . . be brave . . . or, show courage. If it was the triforce of fearlessness, then It would make perfect sense, but its not. It is the triforce of OVERCOMING fear, not removing it entirely.

The problem with the triforce of wisdom, will take a bit more explaining, and the problem may actually come from a difference of translation, but I don't actually know about that, so I will continue onward with the assumption that the original word used directly corelates to the word WISDOM.

By my own perception, Wisdom is part of a trio of concepts that I like to call "The Three Forms of Intelligence " this referring to Intellect, Knowledge, and Wisdom. Intellect is, simply, ones ability to find, gain, and maintain information. Knowledge is the information that one already has. And Wisdom, Wisdom is ones ability to make good judgement towards the usage of one's knowledge and intellect.

Here, it seems more like Zelda has received Knowledge, rather than wisdom, and to be fair, from what I've seen, the Triforce of Wisdom is often treated more as a source of knowledge and power, rather than a source of Wisdom as the name would suggest(Note that I am not a huge fan of Zelda, and thus have less knowledge than a Zelda lore master). This is wear my suspicion that the word used in the original, before translation, may have had a different meaning, and it was simply translated as Wisdom because it sounds better.

This concludes my review. I mean no offense to your story, It is wonderfully written, and the problem I have listed may in-fact have more to do with the source material than your interpretation of it. Also, for the record, I find that the depiction of Ganon is actually pretty accurate, especially considering how in the latest game he stopped his own reincarnation in exchange for more power(Which, from this perspective, could be interpreted as an attempt to finally end the cycle, for good of ill).

An interesting viewpoint. It's interesting to think that the power of the triforce is shared through time, and the same battle is reincarnated again and again. Ganon has the worst of this deal, he is the same person each time, whereas Link and Zelda are a new person, incarnating the spirit of the character, and their power. Thank you for sharing it.

Skyward sword makes this eerily true. But you've captured the horrifying detachment of just not caring. One of the other reviews says it has a Twilight Princess vibe to it and it certainly does.
