" Daniel took his queue to leave." the word "queue" means a line. You meant "cue" as in "cue the silly music!"

The thing that got me about this story was the last line actually - it wrapped it all so nicely.

And Daniel being the Daniel, the best friend ever - nice touch.

Nice. Basically Daniel is saying the civilian Sam came out for a moment. The soldier Carter left for a moment and Sam the woman who loves Jack came out for a moment. Nice.

loved it... n i always love how perceptive and up front daniel is hehe... now i cant wait for the part where we get rid of pete... u know this last sentence with pete was like a splash of cold water... i was so lost in the flow n i'd totally forgotten about him.. like i do evey single second i dnt have to see his face on screen bt then there it was hehe... bt still i can live with wut u gave us for now D
