I remember reading this story years ago, and I always meant to go back and find it again. So glad I did - it's such a powerful story, seeing Lestrade's suffering through John's eyes. Your writing is wonderful - you show us Sherlock's reactions and we know how hard he's taking it without ever having to switch to his POV. I love your strong Lestrade, especially at the end, just keeping calm and moving on. : ) Thanks for the great story!

Oh thank heavens, nobody died! You make people die over and over, and its heartbreaking every time. Is that a genre? It should be. Every short story, it's like Beth or Cathy has died again. Pools of tears in every direction.
