Oh...what a chilling threat Holmes delivers here, and yet you make it wholly believable that Holmes not only could say it, but do it. You bring out the dark side of Holmes' fierce protectiveness and loneliness with unflinching accuracy.

And then the complete turnaround, as our dear doctor knows exactly what treatment to employ. I was laughing out loud at Holmes' rejoinder. Again, it's exactly how he would react to the situation! And what a welcome catharsis, not only for him and for Watson, but for us readers as well.
