Born in 20th Century chapter 1 . 1/25/2015
Thanks for sharing this beautiful and insightful oneshot :) By the way would you consider writing a Eponine/Javert fic in which they're both alive and happy? :o)
rebecca-in-blue chapter 1 . 1/30/2014
I *love* this. I love seeing Javert's reaction to Eponine's death, how it makes him feel about himself, and how in some ways, it effects him more than anything else. Really beautiful work.
wordaddiction chapter 1 . 3/28/2013
I LOVE this. It's very contemplative, not out of character at all, even though it shows a different side to Javert. Super impressed. Brava! Brava! Bravissima!

Rosy-Fingered-Dawn chapter 1 . 1/1/2013
This is one of the best fics I have ever read. It was very powerful: I choked up while reading it.

Please continue to write! You are very talented:)

Wonderful. Just wonderful. I am unashamedly a large fan of Les Miserables, and as a writer I have to say that this is an excellent piece of writing. Poetic and fluid with very few words wasted, this piece highlights how Javert is something like an anti-hero, with more than his dedication to regulations. The descriptions are also very good with an impressive range of vocabulary.

Just a quick edit: 'handing suspended' is somewhat of a pleonasm.

Thank you for sharing this.

Wow! I was looking for a story like this everywhere!

This is so sad...

I knew that Javert had some humanity!

Very well-written!
Ace of Gallifrey chapter 1 . 6/19/2011
Eh, Javert isn't the bad guy. He's a good man, and absolutely on the side of the right- too much so, in fact, and there's his problem. He's an antagonist, but he's not the villain.

This was a beautiful look inside his head, and a beautiful look at Eponine's death from a perspective that's almost never examined. This was wonderful!
