Reviews for Warrior of Happiness
Vampire Tails chapter 1 . 6/19/2017
I'm so glad your soul told you to write this. It's so amazing and it warmed my heart so much.. Kirby is, indeed, the Warrior of Happiness. It's a good title for him. He spreads happiness wherever he goes and this story just... oh my goodness...
I'd love to see another story like this. Where he does just what he says he's gonna set out to do. That'd be awesome. Now.. you mentioned Birdsong. I might check that out.

Thanks for writing this. It's amazing and everyone was in character, especially Kirby himself!

Wow. This story just... Made me smile. Innocence? Nailed it. Awesome. :)

Why didn't I stumble upon this one-shot until now?

I LOVE how you characterized Kirby! And the scene where he comforted Peach and told her she's the best princess was very cute and somewhat amusing. I truly think that Kirby is a warrior of happiness, that really seems like a title that would fit him.

You should listen to your soul more often, as this is simply brilliant. Okay, I have a natural affinity for this fanfic considering it stars my favourite video game character, Kirby, but even without that factor I would still love this fanfic as it is just superbly written. You are right to be proud of the Kirby narrative as it is indeed fantastic.

Kirby's narrative makes it feel like Kirby, like the story is being told from a young, happy, innocent child. It manages to explore other characters past and the various affects the characters back-story have had on them while using simpler words to reflect Kirby's lesser knowledge. It's charming and quaint but surprisingly deep and looks into a lot of ideas within a short space of time. Despite all it does it never feels like it rushes, its well plotted, well paced and simply well written. This so far is the smoothest of all your narratives where even scene changes without line breaks feel natural.

I'm not about to let my love of all things Kirby cover my eyes from the possibility of improvement for this fanfic though. I truly only have one real criticism to make but it is a bit of a serious one, and that is how pretty much nothing happens. It's an interesting look into things but it never feels as if anything occurs, even with the encounter with Peach. It's too short of a moment and the affects of this encounter aren't looked into very much.

Now for some Kirby related rambling, part of which could have been implemented into this story and part of this are expressing views upon the story. I like your concept of Kirby, and possibly all of Dreamlands inhabitants, being made of dreams and thus parentless. I also like how you considered Meta Knight a villain of Kirby’s as so many writers seem to consider them best of friends despite all the times Meta Knight has tried to fight Kirby. Things to have considered putting into this fanfic are some of the more serious times in Kirby, and cases of which Kirby could have used to relate to others pain. For instance Kirby’s ultimate villain is Zero (also known as O2), an embodiment of evil incapable of feeling any positive emotion, who shoots blood from his eye as a regular attack and rips out one of his eyes in order to try and kill Kirby. O2 is also widely known as Nintendo’s second scariest villain (Giygas being first of course). There are other examples I could give but the truly surprising fact about Kirby is his ability to remain happy despite the unfortunate times he has had. While they may not have been as personal as other characters he has had to deal with things that would normally destroy a person’s innocence and yet still manages to retain his.

Enough rambling from me though, it’s late (or at least where I am) and I think I’ve praised this glorious one-shot enough. Amazing job, keep up the great work!

I tend to avoid a fic if I see two characters' names on it, and I'm not much for hurt/comfort types, but I'm glad I read this. It put a smile on my face!
Araceli L chapter 1 . 6/29/2011
I can't decide what my feelings are. If I'm bitter, happy, inspired or sad. I think its a bit of all.

I guess the real thing about happiness is it seems so far away when you're that sad. Depression works like a downwords spiral, and when you hit the bottom, happiness is like a slide. Extremely difficult to climb up.

And people, when they're upset, find it hard to not be jealous of people so carefree and happy. I think that's where the bitterness comes in.

But when those joyous people try hard to help the sad ones, it's hard not to be grateful.

I think one of the things I love about this is Kirby myself. Its hard to not love that gumball of fluff but when you make him so endearing, and most importantly, childish, he's just a marvelous quality. Children have of way of making things so simple. Everything can be dealt with, everything can be fixed. Its something, like innocence, that we lose on our way to adulthood. And I think this feature in the narration was a key point that turned this into something extremely realistic and inspiring.

Fantastic work, bro!

p.s.-headin to Birdsong now!
