I think you still have them in character. It's true the casefiles seemed a little off, but they aren't that bad. I didn't notice and spelling or grammar issues today :D

Those casefiles... Haha! They are full of laughs and yeah, it may not be best to use them as a reference, but there are a couple in there that I consider to be pretty good on Edgeworth's and Phoenix's characters.

When I read the first part I actually sighed out of relief . I seriously had thought that it was Miles who was shot. Great job with that bit of suspense :D.

Also, it didn't seem flat to me. There were a few spots that seemed like was missing a word. Of course I can't tell you where since I don't remember sorry. Wonderful update! Keep up the good work :D

You got us to expect it in a way... but it's mystery to me as to what/who has been hit, so in that part I'm really excited to find out what happens next.
