This was a really long push for a one-shot, but I'm going to try to cover all my thoughts on it. You've found such a clever way to bring these two fandoms together here; as you say, there's a resemblance between Alan and Anjelica, especially with both their characters looking and acting so similarly gothic. I love Morticia's immediate maternal reaction to baby Harry, how she (and later Gomez) are taken by his "most beautiful eyes" right away - ironically the part of him that Severus can't bear to see. For as "creepy and kooky" as they were, the Addamses were also a very loving, loyal family, and you capture that perfectly here.

I also love that you have Morticia as a former witch. How she thinks of Gomez as a wizard and of their love as magic is touching and certainly ties in well to the similar themes in Harry Potter. She almost seems to consider Muggle a slur - "hasn't come from my mouth for years." The ending scene of Harry leaving the family for Hogwarts is so bittersweet. Morticia seems to have a good idea of what he's in for. I'd been meaning to read this story for a while, and it didn't disappoint, although I didn't find the many SPaG typos pretty distracting. There are a lot of comma splices, sentence fragments, incorrect dialogue tags; even the story summary isn't free of them, and the uneven line breaks looked messy to me.

Despite not being very familiar with Harry Potter canon, this is one of my favorite crossovers. It is remarkable how easy it is to follow.
I love the bond that develops between Harry and the Addams', and how bittersweet the trip to Hogwarts is. Also the complex relationship between Morticia and her brother in this universe is interesting.

Always enjoy the way you write Morticia and Gomez, too.

Your writing enthralls me. I'd never considered an Addams/HP crossover could be so elegantly executed, and it saddens me greatly that the story does not continue. This is a very promising beginning to what could be a dark, seductive, evocative, sweeping epic. If you do ever choose to write more you will find in me a quite devoted fan.

It was different and yes I did like it... It was getting a little hard to finish towards the end though. A little long for just one chapter, I think it should have been separated into at least two... but that's just me. All in all I enjoyed it and it was very well written, and a completely new plot to me, which I find rather delightful since it seems all the stories of how Morticia and Gomez meet are the same. Wonderfully written, enjoyed and I hope you continue to have irresistible ideas. )

I think you are right that Severus and Morticia could be siblings. You make them fit together well while keeping their own personalities. I would like to see you write more about them.
