I come back to this story from time to time and it's becoming one of my favorites of all time. The way you stay true to the characters, while putting them in these situation, is admirable.
I'm going through a severe AWS - Avatar Withdrawal Syndrome - so your headcanon is exactly what keeps me sane...
I would give anything to see this scene drawn and recorded with the original cast (sadly without Mako r.i.p).

I'm a fan of Maiko so the situation doesn't really work for those two, but this was extremely funny. Zuko being flustered is probably one of the cutest things ever. Besides it's always the quiet ones who are freaks ;) Keep writing!

THIS! I died. So bad. Oh god, I could totally go gay for June that woman is GENIUS! And I keep trying to mentally imagine Zuko's keening noise but I don't think my mind quite does it justice. Zuko's so adorable when he's flustered!

At least Zuko turned the tables on Iroh for once at least. He may have walked right into Iroh's trap but he managed to escape with some of his dignity intact. Good for him! And the fact that he won the game is even better.
