He's an idiot to stay friends with Kate when she is clearly still in love with him. A good friend goes for distance when one party has feelings that can't be reciprocated. He's going to ruin it with Bella if he lets his ex rope him into anything that is going to make him neglect his girlfriend - and I bet she's going to find some band drama or whatever to keep him away from Bella.
I'm disappointed that Edward is one of those guys too oblivious for his own good. He dated that woman for almost a year and can't see that she's jealous? I bet Bella is the first girl he brought around after her, Kate probably thought she had still a chance to win him back ... until now. She will do something drastic, I'm sure of it. Desperate times call for desperate measures.
And the worst part it, Bella is already aware. Edward better watches what he is doing WITH Kate.
