Sadly I can see it happening. Let's face it; if anybody else deserted Kohona for years like Tsunade did, it could earn them a status of a missing nin and a bounty on their head. Orochimary's offer against non-existent loyalty to Kohona? It's a miracle she declined his offer in canon.

You know it really made a lot of sense. I went to rematch that part where Sandaime and Orochimaru were talking and Sandaime said that he was retiring in five years. That was a very specific timeline.
