Am I correct on this translation, or did I get my facts mixed up?

How wouldn't Rose know that she's adopted? She would've been, like, at least six at the time (I got the impression that Janine took her away from Abe when she was at least five years old). And the Foster System takes a lot of time. I went through it for nearly a year and even that was only because I had someone fighting for me the entire time. So that at least pegs her at seven when she was adopted. Unless she didn't go through the Foster System, which is usually where they put kids that have lost their parents, by the way. I dunno, just asking questions that have no answers and don't make sense like some people do.

This chapter really makes me sad. The start at least. My mother seems to have schizophrenia, like Janine in this. She also has Bipolar. Some would call this Schizoaffective disorder. I also grew up without my father, but I never really knew what was going on.
Sorry for my rambling, I just wanted to say that the chapter makes me sad, yet I am enjoying the story so far.

I want to do one big review after finishing the story.

So much intrigue and subterfuge. The way Janine ended things by dropping Rose off at the mall, it is heartbreaking to know this sort of thing does happen. Kids get stolen, kidnapped, sold, and parents drop them off and never come back. I cannot imagine finding out that happened to you.

I love how Rose saw Abe and knew him instantly. I worried a bit about how her knowledge of him would come about. If Dimitri would confess it all to her and introduce him, if Abe would push his way in and see her and blurt it all out, and several other thoughts. None of them were that she'd see him and instantly know him and revert to that childhood language and have that instant bond.

I'm so glad that Avery and Adrian were there for her too. I love that Christian was by her side and loved her all the way through. I was so glad when she finally went to Lissa and had that support, she needed that more than anything.

I think this story is very good and I expect to read it again and again over time.

I am SOOOOO glad it's coming out. I know that means the big mess where Abe finds out and stuff is going to happen but I'm so glad it's coming together.

Thank goodness Avery is observant!

I think Christian wants to believe the lies. But he'll keep worrying it around in the back of his mind.

I think there was a fire. To give them a reason for a new start. But maybe not. Maybe they just packed up that box of stuff and moved to the new place.

I hope he keeps digging!

I think your idea of the house fire was inspired. They lost "everything" so they have no family photos without Rose and other things. I can't imagine them getting by if they had family members around that would know too. Their taking Rose is a wonderful story line and I'm glad it's Mark and Oksana. I'm sure they were doing the right thing.
