Reviews for Against the Moon
Someone chapter 134 . 7/13
I LOVE your stories! Please please please please pleeease keep updating the Against the Moon series, it's awesome and I like the jokes a lot. I mean, really, you haven't updated this story for like three years! Also, I'm a bit curious about why you use the word "anyhow" instead of "anyway(s)"?
No one XD chapter 39 . 7/10
Hi! Just a tiny correction but it doesn't really affect the storyline: Remus Lupin's parents were called Lyall Lupin and Hope Howell, and they met because of a Boggart in a forest (Hope was too sensitive and Lyall "saved" her), it was written in "Short Stories from Hogwarts of Heroism, Hardship, and Dangerous Hobbies". But anyway, it doesn't really matter and your version was great as well.

please come back and finish your fic! we are all dying to know what happens next

This story is great but I don’t really think you captured James and Sirius’s relationship right. In this story, Sirius is closer to Remus than he is to James. Sirius and James were so close they were practically brothers. I don’t think they kept any secrets from each other. Also, I think James would be more understanding than he is in this story.

I adore this book! I come back to reread it regularly and I can only hope the author will finish it one day :(
brad.jones chapter 134 . 6/12
This is, without a doubt, one of the most extraordinary pieces of writing I have ever read, and by far the best fanfiction I've ever laid eyes upon. What is really remarkable about your writing is your ability to represent emotions and bring relationships to life. The bond between Sirius and Remus is beyond words - there's something so human about it that simply evades definition. The mark of a good author is the ability to make their readers feel something - and Against the Moon has taken me on a roller-coaster of emotions from the very first chapter. Thank you for creating something so beautiful, which will live on in my imagination for many years to come. I really do hope to see more chapters soon, but I understand that you're often ill and can only write when the muse takes you. I hope this review finds you healthy and happy.

OMG I’m sure this has been said but I was on tumblr and saw a post about Prof. Quirrell and I JUST realized Meyrigg’s godson has the same first name. I assume Prof. Quirrell is the godson? Omg...how heartbreaking for Meyrigg but also I LOVE that Easter Egg that’s awesome. I wanna write something insightful about the depth of your writing and placing these bits of info that are subtle but important and how it’s just like JKR’s writing but honestly I am to Shook to be insightful rn

Are there going to be more chapters?
fellowmarauder1998 chapter 134 . 6/1
Honestly the best fan fiction I have ever read! I love the attention to detail and the fact that you focus on the small mundane things. When reading, it feels like I really am at Hogwarts. I recently reread the entire Harry Potter series and had a thirst for more from the amazing world that JK has created. So, I went looking for long fanfics that could satisfy my hunger for more. I would never have dreamed of finding such a good piece of writing.

I think you perfectly captured the essence of Hogwarts; your writing is fluid and despite the length of detail I never got bored. You have made me laugh and cry, you have enthralled me these last couple of days. I have been spending most of my time solely reading and it has been one of the best reads in a long time.

From your authors notes I have gathered that you are not always well, I hope you are still in good health. I think its impressive that you have manged to continue creating this masterpiece in spite of what you are going through. Hopefully you will be able to finish this work as it is truly amazing. Please never give up on this story as I am sure all your readers would like to see it finished. I think it is amazing that even now, new readers such as I can easily find your story and appreciate it.

THANK YOU for creating such a great marauder prequal and please update soon as I can simply not wait to read more!

Extraordinary. You made me feel the ups and downs of the moon cycle, the excitement of pranks, the hilarity of potter and sirius, the raw horror, subtly approaching war,... All the characters are so alive Including the side characters. Im in love with mcgonagall, pomfrey, meadowes, meyrigg, mr and mss lupin, betta mcfusty. Just Amazing. Thank you for your fantastic words. Your a queen/king/all-around awesome person
ObsessedVampireChick13 chapter 134 . 5/16
I’m so sad that I’ve finished this and might never get to read the rest! I don’t know where to start, what an amazing story you’ve created! Has the feel of an actual Harry Potter story and I could really see this as being a prequel. I will pray to the Gods that one day you finish this story, it is a true masterpiece!
Wolfgirl chapter 134 . 5/14
Loving this story so much! I have already read it four times, first time was eight years ago. And still I come to check time to time have you updated it yet. Hope you are well and will continue write this amazing story when you are feeling up to it. I just wanted to let you know that you are not forgotten!
Kthrine chapter 5 . 5/6
oh my goodness - love this so far & glad i have so much to read still! It’s so difficult to capture characters engagingly and consistently, especially ones that are created by someone else & have so many different interpretations by people, but you’ve managed it to do it so well for the few you’ve introduced so far. well done! You’re clearly incredibly skilled. Again - look forward to reading the rest. Thank you :)

I don’t want to bombard you with the Sirius ADHD headcanon, but the bee thing when he was supposed to be doing Remus’ Divination notes was such a Mood!
Guest chapter 61 . 4/18
I’m not sure if this was purposeful (and if this has been noted already sorry for the redundancy!) but I really connect to Sirius and how he’s such an ADHD mood. As someone with ADHD myself, I really enjoying seeing Sirius stimming with the ball bearings and enthusing about his special interest in Muggle “contraptions” to anyone and everyone who will listen. You can also see it in his distractibility of course—but also his tenacity in sticking to figuring things out that he wants to know. I really really like and connect to this depiction of Sirius.
