In new Who, there's /sooo/ many opportunities to mention/reference/have a cameo from classic. This is a perfect example.

Poor Doctor, I always feel sorry for him when things like this come up. No one can stay with him without having some sort of scar.

Beautiful! Really lovely little piece. My own headcanon is that the whole Peri-being-alive thing was a lie on the part of the Time Lords to stop the Doctor from going absolutely mental after the trial, and that she died on Thoros Beta. I really loved this. Great work.

This almost made me cry by the end; you should definitely take that as a compliment to your writing skills.

I felt so sorry for the Doctor in that scene from Let's Kill Hitler, even without the Classic Who companions. Though I was all, "Where's Romana?" as well.

This was just a brilliant one-shot. Great job.

I had actually been hoping during that scene that they'd have shown some of the older companions, but they didn't. So I really enjoyed this little addition.
