(Well I didn't start crying until 10 then just. Tissue after tissue.)

I would have also liked to see a scene where America helps England after his blindness. It's implied because otherwise, how did they get back up to the room? I love England's internal dialogue, his attitude. He feels weak and helpless, which he normally hates but he's so thrown off there is only so much he can do. And he wants to be strong for his little brother. "Mask of sarcasm" is perfect and so was his line.

At first I was confused on who's POV we were in. I assumed we would be in America's, because of the summary. But I believe them not talking at all on the way there while America helps him and England just following. Did the last line have to do with England realizing America is there for him? That is what I took from that anyway.

I love England, not many people would have sacrificed what he did. In a way, its probably easier to give up your life than your sight.

Wow! This story is just wonderfully written! I was holding back tears at the very end. I simply love how you portrayed England's thoughts/feelings about being blind. Truly amazing :)

I found HetaOni by chance three days ago... and watched all of it over the weekend... The only reason I didn't tear up reading this is because there're other people in the room. Gaah, HetaOni is so sad... but I love it. :')

Aaaaah, that was lovely, I really enjoyed it. You really start to get a sense of England's fear since he has only his other senses to go by, no more vision. A lot of people handle newly blind characters by forcing them to imagine the visuals around them so I liked the approach you took with him just accepting it for now.

I heard he was going to be blind before I even started watching hetaoni (the only reason how I discovered hetaoni was because I saw a fan art where England became blind and America asked how many fingers he was holding up). Anyways, beautiful job! Keep up the great work and I can't wait to read more from you!
