Oh, snap!

I particularly loved the bit about the silence passing between Eames and Arthur. In the room. On the bed. It was a cool image. I also liked how "Ariadne" is clearly from Arthur's mind, down to her embellished appearance. That makes sense.
This chapter was pretty much perfect, though the bold caps/italics description about the file cabinet threw me off a bit. I had to reread it, since I thought there was actual writing on it, but that could just be me. :)

Loved this section: He was tired of feeling sorry for himself. But all the same, it hurt. The fire that killed him was still burning and it was ripping his flesh apart. He wondered when it would die out... "You're thinking so loudly, Arthur, I can't even focus." :)

And uh-oh... Arthur is hallucinating now... That could either be a bad thing or a good thing.

I really love this fic! Don't know why I haven't read it sooner. The flashbacks work so well with the current storyline. Glad that Eames is helping Arthur now. Haha, Eames thinking Arthur was talking to him.
I'm sure Arthur will find everyone who was involved with Ari and Nat's death and make them pay with their blood. But how will he feel at then end? Will he feel better for doing justice or just the same, that there's still nothing to live for? Can't wait for the next chapter, please update soon! xx

I think the key to your story might lie in these lines: "[Eames] forced the soul back into the vessel. And now the vessel was weak. Weakened by the truth, weakened by anguish, weakened by everything."

Arthur's character should be on a quest for 2 things: to get his answers for why she was targeted (as stated in the last part) and to get to someplace where he is somewhat happy/accepting of what happened- unless his quest does lead him to his demise, making this story a tragedy. :) I don't really feel like there is anything missing from this story since it is not over yet, but I'm also not the writer, although I know what it's like to feel that way. Arthur finding out and exterminating the people who killed him won't make him happy in the end, so he'll have to make some sort of personal growth that strengthens him, and if he breaks down any further, it will be the end of him.

Seems like Arthur has definitely gotten himself cornered, now that his unclear lead for the moment has been killed. I'd imagine that all the "acting" he did for the police before didn't help his internal mental state too much, considering that he's breaking down in front of Eames, of all people.

Yeah, pretty much. It doesn't really seem like he has much of a plan for himself for when he's killed off everyone on his hit list, and it's still not going to bring Ariadne or his baby back. It really is what it is. Also, I cracked up when Gaetana told Arthur to fight like and man even though she'd kicked him in the groin. Overall, the choreography was pretty awesome for this chapter- nice work! :) It'll be nice to see what Eames brings to Arthur's situation.

I like how Detective Black is so bent on Arthur being his suspect, that he's confused when the clues don't add up to Arthur being the killer. I wonder if he's had other cases with killer husbands before...

Yeah, I think I'd be scared of Arthur at this point, too. I like how well you handle all the characters in this story, even the minor ones. :)

You really show here how unstable Arthur is, especially when he so directly tells his neighbor what he told him. Very interesting. :)
