It's kinda funny the way that the young turtles don't understand how serious this actually is. Poor splinter I really felt how upset he was but then again many people who watched 9/11 were upset like that too. Really deep and good!

I saw this challenge and I saw that a few people had picked it up. I'm going to have a look at Alex's too. But I must say you did a lovely job here. Like many Americans, I remember that day. I like the little details in this piece. How Leo was trying to put on Raph's mittens that were too small and Splinter taking his feet in his lap. The emotion of their sensei was superb and little Raph re-enacting the fall of the towers was great. Mikey's energy and lack of attention was spot on.

This is a well written story. The story is very descriptive and told well by the characters' of the story. The emotion rises in the reader and they are left with the same gut-knawing feeling the first images on television evoked that day of tragity - Sept.11. Thanks for letting us, the readers, relive, mourn and remember those heros (firefighters) and diligent,ordinary, gifted, intelligent, free men and women that worked in the trade towers. May their death be remembered to bring us continued bravery, and passion for freedom for the future of America.

Many children still have innocence. They don't understand when something horrible happen or if they do they have traumas.

You portrayed the TMNT good as confused kids.

Sadly, I didn't even know about 9/11 until I was in like fourth or fifth grade. I was four years old when it happened. I guess I was clueless about what went on in the world until I was about 10. They made us watch the video of 9/11 in school today though so I finally realized everything that people went into. I thought it would be cool to see until I saw what happened.

Anyway, congradulations on the good story and keep up the good work:~)

Omg I react the same way when I was little I thought it was so cool when the buildings blew up but come on I was like five but know watching the news and the heart ache of everything I cried my eyes out I pray for all the victims an anyone who was involved with the 9/11

I can barely remember 9/11 because I was a year older then the turtles are in this, and I was at school or something in another country. Now I'm older, I'm able to realise how devastating this truly was and still is.

You captured the turtles really well. It's a different and interesting take, seeing them not fully understand while we know what's up.

Awesome job on this. I can see the Turtles acting this way as they're so confused. Nicely done.
