the overall interactions here were great, though I'm feeling a bit iffy about Donovan so far

Oil Fruit? That has potential, if it's anything like other non-specific DFs like Magellan's Poison, Caesar's Gas or Baby 5's Weapons, she should be able to produce any kind of oil she wants, assuming she either has knowledge of oil before hand or a sample of it she can reproduce. With her cooking skills, I can't wait for her to come up against someone with a peanut allergy, or even some kind of Zoan whose animal has negative reactions to certain oils. Anything with a strong nose, for instance, would be screwed by a sharp peppermint or aniseed oil.

After reading the chapter I thought couple of ideas you should add for the Nautilus.

For example the Nautilus really should be build as a underwater/submarine, yet built for war. A warship created as a perfect combination for power, speeds, and manverability in the sea, this ship itself is a weapon, equipped with ramming prow to puncture target vessels below the waterline at speeds that nearly rivals the Water 7's Seatrain.

It is equipped with torpedoes, explosive mines, gun turrets, and grappling harpoon, yet it's most powerful weapon is beam cannon, capable of firing light beams similar to that of the Pacifista . It is also equipped with sonar radar technology, allowing it to Perceive and interact with itself surroundings by use of sound waves (underwater).

It is nicknamed the Ultimate Anti-Buster Call Weapon as the Nautilus is well known for brutalizing the Marine fleet that was executing the Buster Call.

im just happy to see an update. say since you used to put a couple of naruto characters in early chapters does that mean we will eventually see mink versions of shukaku, matatabi, son goku, gyuki, or kuruma (i didnt include the others because minks seem to be primarily mammalian until proven so, and kokuo is a mix between two animals so she(going by both voice actresses, original and dubbed) should not be possible unless we see how a mix between a mink and fishman/merfolk looks like)

Still someway something is telling me that Vivi's "high opinion" of the Straw Hat is going to screw the Ocean Sword pirates (OSP) one day.
You know, like her forcing the OSP to help the Straw Hat when they (the OSP) have nothing to gain by helping them at all...

Woot. Fun power for Donovan as well. Simple, but creative. Also now that they are at Water 7 I can’t help but remember that one Topless shipwright with sunglasses that always had a nail of hair sticking out of his head. Don’t know why but I do.

So you're going for the true Nautilus design in this one, sounds good. The chapter was great, especially liked the part with Vivi to the end and how her new weapon was created, but the parts with Donovan were the best and most interesting. That Naruto is training them now too and that his view on humanity changed saw one in the scene was Law, also like that we see so many of the other Super Novas in this.

very nice. though i do wonder if someone else will join in as the Helmsman position when dealing with a reunion of the Straw-hats in Water 7. this will indeed be interesting. also wonder if there will be different techniques in the making or at least a water style Rasengan. i also wonder what type of lv. of Fishman Karate naruto is at? hopefully approaching lv.50 or 55 to start on the "True" Tile Punch set of moves. looking forward to the next one and more. until then, later!

Naruto Uzumaki:

...I personally hope that Naruto Journal entries can become a famous Best Selling Book around the World. That would be pain in the ass for the Marines, World Government and any of Naruto enemies. It would also being interesting that his Journal gives people a perspective on Fishmen/Pirates. Though, I do like that Naruto is training with his Fishmen Jujutsu more. He seems to be taking Donovan as a new addition to the his Crew very well...Though, Naruto was right to punish Gin for acting without his say, which was not long...Anyway, I do like the dialogue with Naruto and Trafalgar Law. It was not bad and Naruto got the measure of Trafalgar as person/Captain. Trafalgar was surprised that Naruto was honest and seem to try set the record straight on his past fights. I do love that Naruto wants his Ship to possible be capable in Submarine, similar to Trafalagar Law ship. It rather great to read Naruto pushing Princess Vivi training up some more and Vivi developing more dangerous/deadly techniques with her Peacock slashers attached to her Feet...made of Saphires...That is costly. Still, at least Don Kreig equipment/gauntlets are being put to use and are being re-sized for Gin, so that good...Oh wow! Most of Naruto crew are Devil Fruit users!

Princess Nefertari Vivi/Kujuko:

She is growing stronger and getting adjusted to Gine and Naruto training style. It rather interesting to consider how well she adjusting. Ha! I love the dialogue/argument she had with Naruto with comparing the Ocean Sword Pirates to the Straw Hat Crew. Even most the crew did not like that comparison, because they know they have killed or do not think that highly of themselves. I have to admit, I do hope that Princess Vivi can use Haki in the future to use Haoshoku Haki, like Gine has with the Don Kreig crew and what Naruto Sea King powers probably do when commanding the Sea Kings.

Donovan:

Alright, I like this character. He seems to be keeping himself positive over everything. He does not like bad-mouthing past crew mates and he is probably excited that the Ocean Sword Pirates are going to let him be inventive with Shipwright! He has even some Don Kreg gadgets/equipment he going to re-size for Gin and seems to have turn Gems into Weapons for Princess Vivi/Kujuko. His Devil Fruit power is interesting, given it the Metal-Metal Fruit. He can make Tools and Weapon, but he is a Inventor at heart. He also capable of keeping up with Gin and Naruto crew training very well. I have to admit, that it interesting to see if Donovan will make the Ocean Sword Pirates ship into a Submarine/Ship hybrid!

Questions

1) Will Naruto created a Mixed Martial Art style to blend in Fishmen Karate and Jujutsu with a Fluid Synthesis to shift his fighting style from grappling, locks, blows and throws?

2) Should we expect Princess Vivi/Kujuko to use Haoshoku Haki in the future?

3) Are we going to have Donovan create a hybrid vessel that both a Ship/Submarine? Would it look like a smaller version of "The League Extraordinary Gentlemen" 2003 Movie?

4) Would the new Ship have everything the Ocean Sword Pirates need?

5) Are there anymore Crew mates that will be recruited into the Ocean Sword Pirates and will they be "One Piece" characters we know or fans that felt that characters that should have continued there adventure?

Suggestions

1) I have watched Netflix with mostly "Kengan Ashura" and I looked to Okubo Naoya as the character that inspired the idea for Naruto to improve his Martial Arts. It would be amazing that Naruto could switch between his Fishmen Karate and Fishmen Jujutsu without any flash moves. I know Naruto will have Flashy Moves, but also good to appreciate the less flashy moves. Sort of showing Naruto Uzumaki mastering BOTH Martial Arts and changing from one style to the next. Sort of a way to make up for Naruto NOT achieving the HIGHEST level in Fishmen Karate and Fishman Jujutsu, against other Masters of Fishmen Karate or Fishmen Jujutsu.

2) She princess and future ruler of a Country, so I do hope she can us that rare form of Haoshoku Haki. To push her willpower on others is a sign of a leader and ruler. It would really give Princess Vivi that confidence in her abilities if she could use that rare form of Haki. Besides the physical training, I hope that Princess Vivi can use Haki to the fullest of her ability.

3) If you have not watched the movie, that fine. I do hope that Nautilus becomes what it should be, a hybrid Ship/Submarine. Sort of allowing Naruto the benefits of going Underwater, but also be a ship for most of his other crewmates. I just hope that Naruto ship is bad ass for his crew and is different to a point that it is useful for Ocean Sword Pirates.

4) I do hope that new Nautilus is big enough and comfortable for the crew. Not to mention have workout area/fitness center or Training Area. I really enjoy the idea of the Ocean Sword Pirates training together. Anyway, I do hope that with Donovan Metal-Metal Fruit that the ship is...metallic/metal-like in nature. That does not make the Ship unstoppable or anything, just tougher and it represents its name, as the Sword of the Sea. I bet Carmen would want a great Kitchen Area and a Garden area for fresh Fruits/Vegetables/Spices. Anything else, is up to you.

God! I hope that Laser from the Leviathan from "Atlantis: The Lost Empire". That Donovan figures out a way for the Nautilus to fire a Laser beam of its own to shock other Pirates and Marines.

5)... I do not think the Ocean Sword Pirates would have similar Crew guide that the Straw Hat Pirates would have, but I could be wrong. It would be interesting if Ocean Sword Pirates got a Chronicler, Blacksmith, Musician or Quartermaster. The Ocean Sword Pirates have- Naruto, Gin, Kotetsu, Bashura, Carmine, Shizune, Marianna, Princess Vivi/Kujuko, and Karoo...I guess Karoo would take the Pet position/lifeguard for the Ocean Sword Pirates...Anyway, that about 8 people on his Crew and Madam Sharley Fortune Teller had vision of 10 people on Naruto crew. That makes Elven people. Whatever, I am bad at math and probably have to re-read the chapter. Anyway, with Donovan as Shipwright/Inventor, there only a few positions left.

I do like the idea of Musician, so that Ocean Sword Pirates have there own music/beats to listen to. I think a Quartermaster would be good, because I think Donovan is a Blacksmith given his Metal-Metal Fruit powers.
