I found this quite out of the blue and couldn't stop reading. Such a really good story, especially the first twelve or so chapters. You had a real handle on your characters plus a plot that clearly inspired you, and it showed with technically superb writing.
It's a little sad that life got in the way plus you visibly lost interest, but it still is a great story and a very enjoyable reread.

This chapter gave me such joy because I kept picturing Farmer Spock. It is a hilarious image. Anyway, I do hope if you are able to, keep this story up with this nice pacing you got here. I like the character developments and the fact they didn't immediately jump into "true love" and instead are taking the time to build real, lasting connections with the awkward parts in between. It's quite refreshing

While I'm a posterchild for procrastination, especially at present, this is such a fascinating story I hope you find some time, energy and interest to return to this. Jim and Spock's relationship, despite the pon farr, is that of tentative friends, and that is in itself interesting. While some of the obstacles such as Sarek have been neutralised, I get the feeling there could be bigger ones on the horizon, and they could be well worth reading.
Pike, Sam and the Ferengis, bereft of their big latinum maker, could all affect the quiet life in Iowa, and of course, the sheer intellectual potential Jim and Spock share has yet to be realised.

Hello! I just wanted you to know that I really really enjoyed this fic (even though I wouldn't have liked to start reading another abandoned WIP haha). I liked how you handled the consent issues, the video recording, and rarely do we see that in fandom. I love this story and I'd have loved to see how Jim and Spock come together. Nonetheless, thank you so much for writing!

PS. Have you ever considered exporting your work to AO3? I wish this fic would get more love, no matter its status!

I had favorited this story a long time ago, and I recently came across it. Believing that it had been finished (as the fic is listed as "complete") I reread the entire thing. Had I known that the story had been abandoned, I would not have spent so much of my time.
I don't mean for this to sound hateful or negative, but it is rather irksome that I spent several hours in the belief that I would get some closure on this beautiful fic, only to be left hanging.
I think that you should take away the listing of "complete", as people will see the last update date and realize that there are unlikely to be more. Or, you could write "abandoned", "permanently incomplete", or "on extended hiatus" within the description.
I say this because I don't want anyone else to make the same mistake that I did, as its listing is very misleading.

Please update soon, I can't wait for the next chapter.

I find this story most satisfactory and request that you continue.
