owow i had to say i judged this fic because of chapter 1, wherein i found it out of character for Minato to stutter and be chatty like hell. i thought wth is he dumb or is he faking it. but i read on and found him becoming more like Minato. i guess his character on the first part was quite fitting for his intial shock and amusement seeing his son from the future, completing his jutsu. it doesnt disappointty when you read on.. man i was impressed with the slow burnand the humor!
i got confused with the hostage taking from the last chapter, probably because it deviated from what i knew to be canon (and also I found Naruto to be nerfed?). but i enjoyed the last father and son moments. i liked their dialogues, now finally without putting up masks on. i teared up a bit when Naruto said hes proud of his dad even before he knew him TT just like that. just human Minato and Naruto. just father and son. UwU
your take on time travel was different from most of what Ive read, because here, they (mostly on Minato's part) dont wanna change it. its a new idea.. ive never really thought about this perspective before. ive always thought, if you could have a second chance in life knowing what would happen, you better be changing it, because whats the point if not? knowing the future.. doesnt that automatically make you responsible? but then i liked what you said: whats worse, when you want to act on it but cant, or, when you can act on it but you dont want to? and, whats the point of changing things, changing the past.. your past? with your story, ive seen how doing things like this could be.. selfish. because things will still happen the other way around. either you end it earlier, or you just delay it. nice nice.
well written. ive felt how tearing this was for Naruto, when you know what could happen but you cant be acting on it.

PS and wth is with that orion thing? i dunno why, but i teared up when trying to imagine those two looking at it again TT moved~

its very Naruto to spill the beans like that, as headstrong as his mother is. i really dunno how Minato could wear his facade. god, i liked how you made him human here, to the point hes helpless. god, he really has this hero-complex or something, and the perfectionist too, i think he doesnt want to know the truth, because he doesnt want to know and acknowledge that he will fail. simply put, how he will fail as a father. like hes giving all these Hokage speeches about duty to the village to convince himself that he did what he could, but heyy im glad your Naruto didnt settle for it.. and actually had the courage to break his iron wall. you really did well in giving us those feels!
i also liked the irony wherein Minato asks Naruto what to do, in which he replies that he doesnt know and that he would have to find the answer to it himself. this, in parallel to their first meeting. burn! haha

wow wow wow this is too satisfying! the family bonding we all needed. huhu characters are on point. very very well written. with just the right amount of fluff and humor. i can see the effort to write this magnificent chapter. i dunno what else to say. thank you, maybe? TT

The fact that naruto is Already due to be born means that theirs no risk in changing the timeline. What’s the point of this story if your not goanna change anything. This is more on the lines of a different dimension rather than the past since technically two Narutos are present. Minato isn’t stupid nor is Kushina can easily see this is their future son what’s the point of playing ignorant. Pointless story I don’t see what you were trying to go for

If something is "needless to mention," it shouldn't be mentioned. If you think people won't know or assume a particular thing based on the other information provided, then it's not needless to mention.

I don't buy the explanation of Kushina. If she hopes her baby will have Minato's hair rather than hers, she doesn't think it's impossible for the baby to not have red hair. Even before that, however, teenaged Naruto not having red hair doesn't change the fact that he closely resembles Minato. She sees them sitting across from each other here, so it should be obvious.

Well, I guess she could be in denial for some reason. Maybe she doesn't want to know the future just like Naruto doesn't want them to know. Maybe there's another reason she wants to deny it. In any case, between the way Minato talks ("babe", "Where was I? Oh, yeah! So...", etc.) and the writing style of the narration, my interest isn't held enough for me to want to find out. I've gone from firmly disliking this to mildly disliking it. It's just not for me.

Uh. Wow. Um. Firstly, I don't believe for a second that either Minato or Kushina took one look at 16-year-old Naruto and didn't see the resemblance to his father and presumably his mother. Secondly, this is apparently less time travel and more dimension-hopping, given how Minato and Kushina talk if not how they act, because they don't match their canon selves. I don't know how far in the manga was at the time you wrote this, so that may not be your fault, but regardless I've been put off.

Pretty much shittiest story plot among others. Make thing gone too much beyond abnormal

re-read this story again, makes me heart wrenched. I laughed sometimes, in the end couldnt help but cried especially when Minato will send Naruto back and the moment Naruto read his father's notebook.

I wish Naruto could change the past and live with his parents, but I guess this is the best ending for him.
