Okay, you got me. While Barbara is not one of my favorite characters, I really like how you wrote her here. I loved how she was there to comfort Dick when Bruce had gone to get Alfred, and how she kept her cool and knew what it would take to get Dick distracted. I could also totally picture Dick calling Clark into help out a distressed Bruce as Superman. LOL, I was laughing so hard at that part-Bruce totally owes Clark a big one for that! Dick's temper tantrum at Bruce when he got back was well written too, hell, I'd have thrown more than one movie at him if I'd have been Dick! Very nicely written, I was impressed and even more so that the characters are in character! Beautiful job on an awesome fic. :)

Great little one shot. Pity you're not writing anything more if the date of the last story posted is anything to go by because you have bags of talent.

It late at night on a Friday and I'm tired to the point of about to passout, but since I've been reading this story with complete joy all day, I thought I just had to get out a review.
What is there to say...it was amazing...well written of course, the largeness of your vocabulary amazes me to no end. And the dicky wump! Oooohhh I was cooing and awwwing all over. I was reading this everywhere too. On a bus driving to an orchestra concert, in my orchestra room after the concert, in my car, in a restaurant, in a restaurant's bathroom (lol), and finally here lying in my bead, dead tired. (I'm known for reading in weird places, just ask blackfriar)
But enough about the strange places I enjoy my fics, your fic was awesome! Poor dicky! All injured on christmas. But he got lots of babs attantion to make up for it. Liked the good DUI message woven into it. Gosh people who do that r stupid. They deserve to wet themselves due to batman. Gosh there needs to b a batman criminal frightning service. Aw, geez, seriously. This was even better than The Host, and I massively enjoyed that. How have I not read your stuff before? Are you an actual published author because your writing is good enough for me to believe you are.

Amazing story.

This has become a firm favourite of mine, I've read it at least three times over the last few weeks but shamefully, am only getting around to commenting now. In my defence, I generally finish the story with such a happy sigh that I'm too lazy and content to write anything. Pathetic excuse I know but there you go.

I loved everything about this; your depiction of Dick, his relationship with Bruce, Superman dropping a jet in the backyard at Wayne Manor (GREAT scene) and Barbara. I really, really loved Barbara in this. And I liked that you used older canon with her as older than Dick because I prefer the big sister relationship to romance (not that Dick's little crush wasn't fun and adorable in this because it totally was!).

Oh, and favourite line had to be "Alfred! Mother Nature's singing an aria — help!" *chuckles* oh, Dickie.

this is probably 11 years too late, but my god, i love your fics, the way you write. i lovelovelove your works to a million billion bits.

And yet another nice, touching story. Not to mention that drugged!Dick was hilarious.

Wow. The accident was so ironic - avoiding the drunk and getting hit by a different car instead. Great.

Not many stories like this keep me interested all the way through, but this one sure did. The end reminded me of Terry Pratchett's writing style, which I love, so you get brownie points for that too. Alongside the ones you get for characterization, kick-butt descriptions for the accident scene, well-written "fluff" (for lack of a better term), and Superman's saving of the jet. If all fanfics were written like this one, I'd be a very happy person.

Dick beamed at Alfred's reassuring words. "Cool! Then let's go downstairs and 'Deck the Halls with Boston Charlie!'"

"Yes. Quite." Alfred ceded, beneath an arched eyebrow.

"You could have crashed, Bruce(,) and I wouldn't have *ANYbody*, anymore!" Should there be a comma after anybody? For some reason I don't think there should be. ... Key words there are don't think. ...

This is an incredible story. Absolutely amazing. The only thing that put a slight wrinkle in it for me, was how Bruce kept calling Dick, "chum." But that's all - the rest is absolutely perfect. Finally - a story actually good enough to be labelled, "fanfication" in my book.
