I really loved this, especially since it reminds me of Akanes hair in Ranma 1/2. She wants to be like her older sister, who has long hair. But it also gets cut off in a fight, and the guy who love/hates her reluctantly tells her it suits her, and she decides to keep it that way )

Are you kidding me? If this is the kind of thing you write when you're trying to escape writer's block, then what could you possibly be writing when you're NOT on writer's block? I liked this a lot. It was more Artemis-centric and I think I needed that (what with the whole Artemis, Kaldur and Wally all MIA on the show right now).

This totally reminded me of Rapunzel. But more badass and angsty and dramatic. But like Rapunzel nonetheless. And GOD, I hope Wally kept SOME of that hair.

(I support Spitfire. So Wally keeping Artemis's hair wouldn't be weird. Don't ask.)

This was grand and Sportsmaster pissed me off. I usually take that as a sign that everyone in-character. So great work here. DO MORE.

Fantastic story! You did a great job writing out each scene. (: I loved having that little peek at the lonely and dangerous childhood Artemis & Jade shared. It was almost humbling. That part was really well written.

The scene with Artemis, M'Gann, & Canary had me smiling. The teasing made it a perfect mix of girl bonding with a dash of Spitfire. (:

I suppose the only part that really bothered me in this one-shot is that Artemis could've used the arrow to stab or distract Sportsmaster rather than cut her hair. Given that her hair is the reoccurring symbol of the story, however, I guess I really can't complain & just say that she's liberating herself or something.

Overall, a wonderful story! I really enjoyed reading this. (: Also, I appreciate your novel recommendation in your A/N. I've been looking for a good book to read as of lately. ...But I could always just turn to your stories, instead! You seem to be a very good writer.

Wow, you're right - this is the first fic I've rea with Artemis cutting her hair. I think it's because we're all secretly jealous and so would never think of cutting it.

omg i can so relate! i grew my hair for a wig too and i got it all the way down my back. it was soooo much work to take care of it! DX i had to brush it 4 times a day for over 10 minutes each time! and that was when i had it in a ponytail or braid! and i used oodles and oodles of shampoo and coniditioner! then i finally cut it! i dont even need to use a brush i can just finger comb!

wow but im way off topic! love the story especially the Jade/Artemis sister bonding. i havent read any so far without Jade being a jerk or mean or evil. so it was nice and i love her sacrificing her hair to save Magen and the team! perfect. i would've love to see Robin's face when he saw her. would've been totally whelming and hilariously asterious!

and of course Sportsmaster! i know that weve only seen him twice in the show but i completely love his potential character roll in the show and drama and in Artemis's life too! EEEEE!

cute how u just,just,just sneaked a little spitfire at the end. and she could totally pull off a short haircut. id imagine that if she ever did cut her hair that she'd get it all choppy bad a** or cut it so that its shorter in the back and longer in the front.

Nicely done! You're right, it's really surprising that no one has written a story with Artemis losing some of her hair. I mean, she has SO MUCH HAIR! Lol. I bet people are going to see this story and start writing their own versions of Arty getting a haircut. xD The scene with Artemis and Jade was really cute! Loved it. :)
