Awh Haji. I love the idea of he and George forming a strained kind of friendship over the years. :)

Wow, wonderful job! One of the best Blood fanfics I've read so far: very insightful.

You do a great job filling in the blanks. I liked how you described Haji's loneliness, and that was what clouded his judgment in Vietnam. Using the guilt from that event as the reason he wasn't by Saya's side during the last hibernation was perceptive and convincing, too. It was really heartbreaking that the hibernation cycle was reset, so he had to wait another 30 years for Saya to wake up... that pain is enough to make anyone weep. It seemed that Haji was a bit more emotionally transparent when he was with Saya in Russia, so the whole Vietnam episode and the ensuing years of guilt-ridden solitude goes a long way in explaining his dour, stony demeanor during the series.

Also, I loved your interpretation of the relationship between George and Haji. George was admirably in character- perceptive, caring- telling Haji to confess his love to Saya.

Great job, and I hope you keep writing Blood fics!
Lullabyes chapter 1 . 11/6/2011
Whoa, you are on a roll today! XD

Once again, excellent characterization. I love how poignant and in-character your portrayal of Haji is. The devotion and sense of sacrifice he holds for Saya is just mindboggling. I also really enjoyed the friendship between him and George. There's a definite possibility that the two may have been on speaking terms before Saya's awakening. The final line was especially a tear-jerker. Haji's Mission-Statement in a nutshell.

Amazing work! (Lullabyes wants MOAR XD)!
